Good morning, folks,

I have a beginner question today. It may be that I miss the way I think.
nic 100mg pg100%
pg
ingredients
vg

I see that most recipes on ELC use ingredients with a weight ratio of 1: 1, while NIC, PG, VG have calculated with weight.

Is that how we mix even though the ingredients are also a little heavier ml to grams?

To be accurate I guess you have to adjust for the difference in ml to gram weight. The difference is small though so I guess it's down to how accurate you want to be. I don't worry about accuracy too much, I don't mix by weight but I take several short cuts. Close enough is close enough for me.

If I recall, his has Custard Premium and FA Milk in the mix. Which is probably why I overlooked it.

Yes his has Custard Premium, LB ice cream, and FA Milk

    Thoughtful Thursday, twirlers. :)

More sunny days, the dandelions love it and everything else is wilting... so likely addressing that...

Not sure I quite understand. Water will be a 1 gm/ml, but unless needing a little thinning if, say, going for max VG, hardly ever used. I plug values for the other items into the calculator, as they are heavier. If only making a 10 ml batch it might not make much difference, but the larger the quantity mixed, the greater the error becomes. Of course, if mixing by volume or drop, not needed.

The values I use, and have seen posted most, are:
    Nic (in PG) 1.035 g/ml
    PG 1.038
    VG 1.260
    Flavorings - in PG - 1.038

Plug those into the calculator and it takes care of it for you.

If your scale did not come with calibration weights, do a search for the weight of your common coins, and use those to check the scale.

It's only .75 custard in his. It's mostly LB ice cream.
I've found a little goes a long way with that custard. It is really good but not what I'm looking for in my ice cream. Not this time anyway. I had the LB ice cream for a minute. After seeing several posts that said it was sweet, I just piffed it.

People here have been recommending 1-2% each when mixed but it was too low for me in the mix I tried. I’ve got a sample steeping with 3 and 2% mixed. I’ll see how that is.
Ic v 3, ic 2? The 2 I have steeping (ready next week) are 1.5/1, and 1.5/1.5 plus 1% custard prem. Based on what you say, I’m going to go boost the SSA duo mix. I have weak taste buds

I just did my ice cream mix and I’m trying SSA Ice Cream at 3%, SSA Vanilla Ice Cream at 2% and Fresh Cream at 1%. The mix is a Chocolate Hazelnut Ice Cream Cone.

Did you go higher on the ic to minimize the vanilla in the v ic? Or? I set mine out so I can bump up the %s. Just trying to figure out which way to go. I didn’t get much out of the first tester because of the “cone” taking over initially.

Yes, I wanted the Ice Cream higher than the vanilla. Thinking the cone flavors need to be low. Going to try out .75% on the cone. Also thinking the addition of cream to an ice cream is more to my liking than a custard.
