FWIW, many times I use a cream(s) to boost a vanilla(s) and a vanilla(s) to boost a cream(s). One helps the other. Also brings more realism to the juice. The two always work well together. So it turns out I did mix it very close to the recipe I posted. I also (finally) remember it needed more vanilla so I had boosted the VT vanilla cream. Anyway... seems like more pudding is the solution (Fran was right) and a bit more SSA vanilla. I also boosted the peanut butter (just a bit) but didn't change the recipe because I felt that most people would want it to be banana forward. So (for me) just a bit more PB, pudding and vanilla.
I can't vape fruits without some kind of base anymore either. They're just too thin and boring to me. Like major, meh.Sometimes I really crave a fruity taste but I can't vape just fruits without a base. So I went with a simple Fruity Biscuit recipe. Not really blog-worthy but hits the fruity spot for me.
Whatcha mixing now?Good morning Everyone
I wrote up a couple new recipes to make. Still need to do some SFT's. Maybe today, maybe not, IDK yet. Minor detail.![]()
I kind of find it odd that there is supposedly an electronics chip shortage among other things and I've been having trouble getting parts at work for at least a couple months if not longer yet the ecig manufacturers can put out one new model after the other with electronics in them.
That’s a good thingMorning all,
102 here and going up! Thankfully have no where to go today so will stay in the AC.
Haven't mixed this one yet. I only wrote it up last night and have been tweaking it today.Whatcha mixing now?
Nice. I have slow going but working on a more complete pudding base also.Haven't mixed this one yet. I only wrote it up last night and have been tweaking it today.
I do like VT Pudding Base but honestly feel like something is lacking. It does have a nice texture and it is really good as a pudding base. I just think it needs a little help. So I'm going drop that to around 0.8% and use it in a supporting role for FLV Vanilla Pudding. To my tastes, FLV VP is more of a pudding but it too could use some help.
I liked how nicely FLV VP worked with WF Frozen Yogurt in another mix of mine so I'm going to use that in this as well. The WF FY is not at all a yogurt like FW Yogurt is. WF FY is more of a cream that has light sour and light vanilla notes.
I am going to start with only those three. Then I'll add a tiny amount of FA custard premium for its richness and slight eggy note.
If those work nicely together then I will have a nice, and more complete, pudding base from which to add other flavors. Like fruit, chocolate, nuts, bakery etc..
I also looked at some foodie websites for Mascarpone Pudding recipes and ideas. Mascarpone pudding is pretty popular, who knew? There are quite a few recipes out there for that. So at some point I will add that to my base as a separate thing.
Oh yeah, the other one is my S'mores mix. I last mixed WF S'mores Cupcake with FA marshmallow. It's good and I could vape that as is, but, I want to improve upon that. Next I am going to lower the marshmallow % and add FA Graham Crust to create a more convincing, and complete, s'mores treat. If that leans too sweet I will add a little tiramisu or a coffee.Whatcha mixing now?
not sure I'd go with the red hots, you'll end up more with a fireball whiskey like vapeI read that Jammie Foxx has a bourbon on the market, bourbon, brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon. I'm trying to relate this to a vape mix:
Kentucky bourbon-fw-3%
Brown sugar-tfa-1%
Cinnamon red hots-tfa-.1%
I'll take any help I can get.
I had a nice bottle of your basic vanilla recipe all steeped and at the ready and used a smidge of that with the Nanaimo bars. Rather tasty. Thx.Oh yeah, the other one is my S'mores mix. I'm also going to mix up another Nanaimo bars but this time with some marshmallow. Last time I did nanaimo with FA Gelato Vaniglia. Those two work well together. Because nanaimo is such a unique flavor I want to try it with only single flavors for a while to get a good feel for what might all work with it.
I love how DIY is like a blank canvas that we choose how to populate with various color sensations (flavors). I'm weird, I see flavors as color for our sense of taste.![]()
Thank you, I do have cinnamon Danish swirl.not sure I'd go with the red hots, you'll end up more with a fireball whiskey like vape
I like diyfs cinnamon for a more true cinnamon flavor and not a candy red hots flavor, or you could try a cinnamon pastry type flavor instead if you have one like cinnamon swirl danish or something.
might want to lower that 1% down as well maybe .25% on the cinnamon if you are only mixing at around 5%, at 1% it'd probably overpower the entire vape, you can always add more afterwards if you feel it's not enough. Same with the brown sugar if you're mixing at 5% i'd knock that down to .25% - .50% otherwise you're probably going to end up with a really sweet vape.
I'd try something maybe around the lines of
bourbon 3%
a cream or custard 1.5%
brown sugar .25%
cinnamon .25%
I'm happy to hear you like it. Thank you for the feedback. I've done the same with Nanaimo bars and do like them together too.I had a nice bottle of your basic vanilla recipe all steeped and at the ready and used a smidge of that with the Nanaimo bars. Rather tasty. Thx.![]()
What do you think would work well with it?
