I believe it has to do with customs inspections. Idk, if you google DHL shipment on hold there's many different reasons.. so I contacted customer service. I don't like phone calls and waiting aeons, so by sheer luck I was able to find their customer service chat and not email. It wasn't easy finding it. Tracking said I would get my parcel on the 23rd.. which to take 5 days to travel 4.5 hours away is just absurd. CS agent just told me it is scheduled for delivery on Monday which is why it is on hold.. but that doesn't really explain why it's on hold. I can speculate and theorize, but at least I know it's coming.. I hope. :nun:

Is it just me, or does it seem there's an increased need to contact customer service these days? Probably covid to blame. It's a miracle if I order something and then it arrives in it's scheduled time without issue. Maybe for my current situation it's my "local" DHL which gets a 2.4/5 on Google lol. Something I do, but I haven't had to use (yet), is take screenshots of interactions with CS.. just in case.
This is of no help to you but last year and earlier this year, before the US vape blockade, my packages from Europe via DHL all arrived within 3 days. They delivered one on a Saturday too. And that was during covid. Same experience with my European FedEx packages.

Is the package you have coming via France from an actual vape store with anything "vape" in it's name? If so that might be why the holdup. Also if they put "vape" on the customs declaration.

    Good afternoon folks

I have bought poison, in 30 minutes the fight against the bees will begin ..... the poison, me or the bees, there will be some winners or losers tonight.

I have tasted Creme Brulee, first mix, not a winner, tomorrow it will be number two.

Just a recipe for which I'm missing an ingredient, @ShowMeTwice: Julia Su's Orange Tart.
Got it. Thanks. Just looked the recipe up in your blog. I'm missing lemon cream wafer, orange cream and the spongecake.

Good luck with the bees and your mixes.

I've had DHL packages before arrive in blindingly fast shipping times.. stuff from Turkey or Morocco to Michigan in a matter of like 3 or 4 days.. unbelievable. Anything from China I just forget about it and it comes whenever it wishes to.. I wish I was getting something vape related from France, I believe the OG authentic Doggystyle was a French thing. It's nothing to do with vaping, it's a "hardware wallet" for crypto. Basically looks like a USB drive, which maybe that's suspicious? I'm anxious about it, because I need it as soon as possible, and because I don't want any tampering shenanigans. When I set it up, I'll probably reset it several times and wipe it clean. Some may say take off your tinfoil hat, but there are many nefarious people lurking out there.

Thought I'd post this in case anyone needs plastic bottles (PET, LDPE, HDPE), screw on regular lined caps and/or dropper caps, black phenolic polycone lined caps, the twist-to-open yorker type dispenser caps (1 of my favorites), and/or a variety of other containers, packaging, etc. You can order things by the each, by the dozen, pack of 48, or in bulk quantities. They always have FREE S/H at only a minimum $25 order, and for today only...even the normal $5.95 handling/packaging fee is waived!

I've ordered from them in the past, and gotten some really good deals on their bottles, twist-to-open caps, and polycone lined caps, etc. They have a variety of natural HDPE and LDPE cylinder shaped, Boston Round shaped, and Bullet Bottles that are great bottles for dispensing PG and VG especially, when you pair them with a twist to open cap. I have and really like the 8oz ones in each type, but they have other sizes, too. They're very easy to squeeze (especially the LDPE ones) to dispense any liquids. I got some in the past from OSDIY and got hooked on them.

They also have a limited selection of glass bottles. They don't carry eliquid type bottles with the thin dropper tips and caps on them, but do have some that come with the eye dropper caps.

Also, for anyone who does at home crafts (soap making, lip balms, lotions, essential oils, bath bombs, etc.) they have all the supplies for doing them, too.

Wholesale Soap Making Supplies and Handmade Cosmetic Supplies - WholesaleSuppliesPlus

Out of the twist caps darnnit :(

Angel cake was my first thought, but I'm also considering yellow or pound. It's for Julia Su's Orange Tart. You're the expert on that one, @hittman--any thoughts?

I like it just how it is but think the pound cake or even inw lemon cake would work ok.

Thank you, hittman. Believe me, I'd make it with the spongecake if I could, but for some dumb reason I left it off my last mammoth BCF order, and I have no plans to order again soon.

I'll probably use the Gooey Butter Cake since I have a lot more of it than I do the FLV Poundcake.

Doc thought I tolerated pain well. Doesn’t everyone? Been tolerating pain well all my life.

I don't think pain tolerance is a common trait for most people.

As a beside, with my back injections it takes about 24 hours for the injections to start working - I hurt worse the day of injections than the day after. You'll probably be similar to that. . the medicine they inject just has to absorb or something I think. At the knee there's probably fewer places for the medicine to go so it may take a little longer...

my pain doc told me I have an amazingly high pain tolerance at my appointment yesterday, which reminded me that all my pain doctors have said the same, that my pain tolerance is through the roof.

Since I think I'm kind of a big baby when it comes to pain, it really makes me wonder about most people in general.

I had a short stint earlier with an ice pack and Motrin but it's been feeling fine since.
