I have FW and FLV cookies and cream. And now I want to try one with FA Milk.

Me too. That's why I have slowed down on buying flavors until I start using what I have.

Same here! I have tried root beer in both store bought and in DIY efforts and it always taste like black licorice to me.

Ok... I know I said I was out of here. I would like to discuss DIY (and nothing else... I seem to stir up trouble when I do that)
My mistake for getting into my personal life (and not judging, complaining or anything else) I really just want to talk DIY and nothing else (you guys are fine with the random stuff... fair enough?)
I did did a peach pie... used OOO pie crust and WF croissant (made a very delicious crust... pie crust on it's own is very bland) To my surprise, the crust took over... had to add more peach (the crust actually muted the peach) I also added cinnamon but was so worried about using too much I couldn't even tell it was in there. Made some adjustments and loving it (btw, it's "a' la mode" with vanilla ice cream)
My chocolate chip mint ice cream was fine... just needed a bit more mint. Gave root beer another try (way less RB and lots of ice cream/vanilla) Still didn't like it (that's odd because I can do licorice and love it) It might sound crazy, but GrimmGreen (does YT videos) said he loves rootbeer/banana so just added some banana... who knows (going to try that right now) Sounds wacky to me but who knows.

your peach pie sounds delish and I might try that mixture for a crust sometime

I haven't had the best luck with strawberry. I have quite a few, but maybe I just don't have the right ones. Or maybe I am strawberry blind.

I love strawberry (IRL) but do seem to be "strawberry blind" Even pre-mades I couldn't taste SB. It does seem to be a common thing.

Fa Corn tastes like heaven, lol! Creamed corn might be a little more descriptive though. I mix it with Cookie, Breakfast Cereal and Vienna Cream for a corn muffin recipe. It's HIC's recipe actually.

I wish you would post those HIC recipes here. IIRC you posted about doing that a while back.

I think all here can agree HIC is no longer in the game. Sadly.

I'm still chasing the perfect apple pie. Someone mentioned a flavor... apple strudel (OOO) that sounded interesting. I like a bit of extra cinnamon but that is totally optional (I know most people don't like that) It seems one brand of apple pie doesn't have enough crust, another brand doesn't have enough apple. Some have mentioned adding some fuji apple to brighten them up (FA?)
So... going to lay low and hope I didn't disrupt this thread too much with my personal life (that was a mistake)

Apple Pie never worked for me and I kind of gave up but I do use FA Apple Pie for the crust taste alone

Well, Darlin', that mixture does NOT stir my taste buds, but it is pretty amazing what mixing odd things can create and be delicious. Not gonna dis the flavor, cause I know you speak the truth always, but, WOW!

One is RF and one is The Flavor Wizard which is probably FA.

And yes...I have a few duplicate bottles of stuff cause it just gets put away.

I should really start checking what I have before I place orders.

It was better with banana (but I have much better uses for that... like peanut butter)
Funny thing is I love FW licorice (and it's strong) but just can't do rootbeer (and love both IRL)

Hey Maz, I might have a bottle of that FA Corn. I have a bottle of Corn made by someone. I run across it all the time and wonder why I bought it. I think to make Cornbread Pudding. It is yours if you want it and I will check sometime tonight

Apple Pie

crust: flaky and buttery
VT Croissant 2.5%
WF Croissant 1.75%
FA Apple Pie 1%

apples:
FA Fuji 2% - Fresh, crisp apple flavor - exceptional fresh fruit flavor - one of FA’s very best fruit flavors. Fuji is a prominent flavor that stands out in mixes more than FA Apple. It is not sweet like FA Apple is. Fuji is more of a tart apple.

FA Apple (Stark) 1%-1.5% - Mild, mellow, realistic apple juice flavor, like the juice of Stark Yellow Delicious apples. Mildly sweet with no tart notes.

Use Fuji and Apple together for a more complex apple flavor.

Add a little FA Liquid Amber for a baked apple taste.

Cinnamon if desired. FA Walnut would be a nice addition.


ETA: I'm pretty sure @Opinionated uses FA Liquid Amber and recently posted something about it and a suggested %.

I want a cranberry pie.
