I figured out a new trick. Recently cut way back on the number of setups I have going. Instead of cleaning the tanks and putting them back in the stash I put new coils and wicks in them and drop them in a separate tub. Since then when I'm in the mood I've been taking tanks out from the stash and coiling and wicking them. Got quite a lot in there now. It means if I want to fire up a new juice I just grab a prepped up tank from the box and fill it. Starting a new flavor used to be a pain, had to take a tank apart and clean it and put in a coil and wick, now it's easy as pie.
That is a great idea.

Your kid is going to be a nurse? Good for her.

That's the plan anyway. Her first year at Wichita was cut short by the pandemic and she had to finish the semester online which didn't go well. Then the second year was all online besides a couple times she had to go on campus. She decided she didn't like that college any more even though she had already been accepted to the third year nursing program. So now she's going to Fort Scott for their nursing program but she would end up wit an RN instead of a BSN but the tuition is a lot cheaper. We found out that Fort Scott has a program with KU where she could still get her BSN but the tuition is about three times as expensive. Right now she's not sure what she wants to do but doesn't have to decide until December. I think she should go for the RN since I know it will be easier and if she wants to go back for the BSN then she can do that later.

Seems like she has some good options. When you said Fort Scott, I thought at first she was thinking about being a military nurse. Then I looked it up and saw it was a community college.

I have a lot of work stuff I need to finish up in the next few days. So that will be taking up a lot of my time. Plus, I need to wash the car.

    How bout you?
Regular boring morning stuff which is bout done. Then I'm finally going to coil/wick my dvarw base. I also plan to mix my blackberry mix.

Sounds good. I'm not sure how long DIY Flavor Shack takes to ship, but I should be able to mix your IC base soon.

I don't remember how long shipping took the last time I ordered there but I think I got it quickly.

    Morning, mixers.

We seem to be in for a break in the temp for a couple days. Nice, but still no rain...

Yup, been doing that for years :) I have a dozen in rotation, and another dozen on the rack, ready to fill. (And, with so many going, I'll often "stack up" two or three just waiting for a refill.) Flavor change, just grab a fresh one. Wait until I have a few needing a clean and wick (more rarely a new coil), do them all at once and back on the rack for later.

Off to the dentist in a while, see about a chipped tooth. At least this shouldn't apply ;)

Well, I grabbed my dvarw base and my tools. Figuring at my desk in dd's office room might be a better place to coil. I guess I was wrong cause I wound a failed coil that I haven't done in a very long time. Second time was the charm. Just need to wick now.

I was going to mix Classy's honeysuckle recipe, then realized I don't have apricot. It's been added to my buy list, in the meantime is there a good sub for the apricot, or should I just wait?
    That's a hard one. I don't think there's really a good sub.

She should go for the RN.

I agree. I think she should take the easier route for now and then go back if she wants to. She can get that under her belt and then start working and supporting herself.

It's been a really long road with her figuring out what she was going to do. There were some underlying circumstances in Wichita that made her not want to go back there but I won't get into it on the open forum. At first she was going to go to Pittsburgh but would have had to wait a year to get into the nursing program since they had already done the selection. Most of them are pretty competitive. That's when the counselor suggested Fort Scott. She really only needed 17 hours and a couple of tests to get into the program there. It was just coincidence that she had finished two years already and probably has around 60-70 hours. If she sticks with Fort Scott then she will have two more years after this semester. It's been a long and stressful road with the youngest. The oldest was so easy. She went to Missouri State for four years and graduated. No problems whatsoever.

She's too undecided. It could end up being a big mistake to pay for the more expensive degree. With the RN she can get a job and support herself. If she decides after that she wants the expensive degree she'll be able to save for it.

If she were to get a job now at a hospital most will pay a % (up to 100% depending on what they offer) for nursing school with the requirement that the nurse graduate work for a certain number of years for that organization. In the hospital I worked for, they also will pay for a nursing undergraduate degree such as an ADN or BSN in nursing too.

ETA To me it's a no brainer, your education is paid for, guaranteed employment , an income, plus she gets used to working in a hospital environment.

Let us know how it goes, as we're only talking about a third booster, but I'm sure it will be soon for those immunocompromised . They are talking about a 3rd booster for everyone else eight months after last shot.

    Morning Katmar

Everything went fine this morning with the jab. Just a bruised arm where it went in. Think that's just to do with placement though as I had zero problems with the first two. I'm almost hoping for a reaction as at least I'll know that it's done its job then....:cry::cry:

Here it's just for the sick....transplant patients, stem cell transplant, lymphoma patients etc....pretty much everyone that is immuno compromised!! Like you there is talk of a booster for all but they'll do the majority of the population first I expect. I know that Biontech are working on a booster that covers the Delta variant :)

Hope things are well with you and yours

Let us know how the blackberry mix goes....I'm going to do a blackberry ice cream. Your ice cream base with the blackberry blossom and some blackberry jam....toying with a blackcurrant version too but also a white chocolate.
