I have problems with caramel too....I'm steeping @ShowMeTwice 's caramel recipe now...it's had about 6weeks so far. I'm almost scared to try it though. Caramel can be so harsh. Always smells devine from the bottle.
I hope you like it Charlie. 6 weeks, it's ready Mate, give it a go. I am very interested in hearing what you think.

If interested I also have a Butterscotch Vanilla Cream recipe in Zazie's blog. It's similar to the Caramel one just butterscotch forward. Pretty sure there are a couple different versions for my caramel and butterscotch mixes in Zazie's blog or she included links to updates... or something.

Caramel and butterscotch mixes are something I'm always tinkering with, I love to make improvements to my basic go to recipes. I should have a look at Zaz's blog to see if the ones there are my current ones. :)

I did one at 1% and another at 1.5%. I upped the 1% to 2% just to satisfy my curiosity as to how far I would push Jacote. 2% was good and flavorful in my very basic mix.

1% was a nice light, yet very pleasing, Jacote Plum. 1.5% brought out more of the Jacote flavor.

Here are my notes on how I plan on using it...

As a background or supporting flavor, 0.25%-1%. If your base and/or other flavors are on the lighter side 1%-1.5%. If competing with stronger flavors 1.5%-2% depending on strength of the others. I am certain Jacote could still be pushed further than 2%. How much further? TBD.

Having said all that... you might love it at 2% or more.

Start low and add more if you need to. It's not a flavor that needs anything longer than a day or two steeping when adding to a well steeped mix. It's seeding at that point.

I am very interested in seeing what you come up with. :)
Planning a Jacote/Mango Croissant. Thinking a bit of white cake. Still thinking.

@Koolkiz, we have wonderful weather finally!!! :) I hope you are enjoying it. Our high was 75. You're not that far north from me but more inland. I'm about 5-10 minutes from the lake. When I pass your neck of the woods on my way up north and back I always beep. :D

OMG! When did they or why did they increase prices to 49.99 for one gallon of PG at BSF? It's insane.
    PG_Gallon_2021-08-31__74067.1630434463.jpg
We have Covid to thank for the higher prices on PG. It's used in hand sanitizers. There was a huge run on PG last year causing shortages and then price increases.

If you have a Tractor Supply or a Blain's Farm and Fleet nearby you can pickup a gallon there for cheaper. It's safe for vaping as it is USP Grade. Farmers use PG for giving supplements and whatnot to their cows. Several folks on ECF buy theirs from Tractor Supply stores and are very happy with it.

Last time I bought PG (2018) was from Bulk Apothecary and it was $18.52 a gallon. I got 4 gallons PG and 6 VG (VG was $13.40). Bulk Apothecary is one of the largest suppliers nationwide for both.

I wonder if SMT headed right back to his girlfriend's place?
Nope. I'm back home now. She's not really my girlfriend as in a dating thing. Ok here's the deal, her and my wife knew each other as little ones. Next door neighbors. They remained lifelong best friends. I met them both in grade school. We all hung out and totally grew up together. Did everything together. We were the three amigos. Where one was the other two were right there. Very tight. Around 15-16 her and I dated for a few years. Then I switched, lol, and started dating the girl who became my wife. We all remained close over the years.

The gal up north then got married. It all seemed on the up and up. However, one day she came home and found him in their bed - get this, doing it with another guy - in their bed!!! Whoa. Well that did not go over well, obviously. She kicked him square in the nuts, and according to her very hard, deservedly so IMO. Then she proceeded to kick him and his friend out of the house that very day. The divorce happened quickly. My wife ended up punching him in the nose outside of the courthouse, breaking his nose, lol. That was funny, at least I thought so. She never remarried and has a couple daughters from the ex.

Her and I are super close. We've known each other for nearly 48-49 years, so yeah, close. Close enough to know everything one needs to know about each other (and then some, lolz). Funny, we're like a married couple but not married. At our ages marriage doesn't need to happen. There you have it. My Random contribution for the day. :)

I'm afraid if I ever caught a husband of mine in bed with another guy neither would walk away.

    I got their email too.

:censored:, I don't need any more flavors.

Well... maybe, just maybe a few odds and ends.

    Flavoritis strikes, again.
But what will you get? There's just nothing I need.

    Good afternoon folks,
I have read, mixed a 120ml, vape for the evening is stixx stokkeby birds eye, ivg gold, dl lemon tart, and smt pudding base.
Got an answer from Steelab, expensive but one may have to pay for what is hopefully quality, will order tonight. And I think I'll buy myself an Evolv DNA 60 board with something else from the UK as well.
Material for the mod projects, do not quite know, one will be in wood, and I think I want to build one in stainless.
I hope you like the pudding base. I never heard of Steelab until you mentioned it the other day. They do have some nice gear and parts for modding and making your own mods. I bookmarked it. Thank you.

I've purchased some things from Stealthvape and ModMakers out of the UK. They also have good selections for building your own mods and for spare parts.

I have spare DNA boards for each DNA mod I own. Backups.

    I am a Vape Prepper. :D

That thought crossed her mind. With two young girls she didn't want to end up in the Big House. At least she didn't go full Kung Fu on him. She could have but she remained very disciplined. We all took karate lessons together when we were younger. That was fun. The girls enjoyed slamming me on the mat but then it was my turn, haha, payback. :D

I possess too much of a temper to worry about the big house.......til too late.

  I don't know. Don't really need anything. And like many here, I do have some flavors that I still need to try.

I should just put some of those flavors in a box, tape it up, let it sit out of sight for a couple weeks then open it and be surprised.

I'll likely let this sale slide on by and see what @*RJ* buys instead. :D
