What's your favorite sbs mod currently? I never really wanted one, but I figured that if I ever get that Brunhilde, I'm going to need one...
I have the brunhilde one coming from SM. The brunhilde tank is coming from ft. No hurry for either.

How long do those flavors last, anyway? I've never been able to figure it out. I buy 10 ml at a time (not a big mixer) and store them room temp. But every time I grab an old(ish) bottle I experience an attack of extreme anxiety, chuck it and order another small bottle.

Anyone? How long do you keep/how often do you replace your flavorings?
I have a few that are over two years old and a couple have degraded a little. Seems to depend a lot on the flavor. Most are fine.

My favorite is the Dovpo College DNA 60 (I have a couple). But I also like my Brunhilde SbS and Aspire Mixxes. All are really well built. SbS mods are very comfortable in hand.

If you get a Brunhilde, I would consider the Brunhilde SbS. It's a nice quality mod. Very well built, CNC'ed from aluminum. Sourcemore has the RTA and SbS on sale under their 24HRS section. The Brunhilde RTA delivers fantastic flavor. Very easy to build on and maintain.

Brunhilde MTL RTA $24.53: Vapefly Brunhilde MTL RTA 23mm 5ml Rebuildable Tank Atomizer

Brunhilde SbS $44.18: Vapefly Brunhilde SBS 100W Box Mod VW/TC

Sourcemore ships fast compared to FT. My last two SM orders took 8 and 12 days.

Thanks, SMT. I'm still waiting for @hittman 's review of that new tank. If it's as good as Brunhilde, I'll probably get one. If not, Brunhilde and its sbs it is.

And it will be my last mod/tank purchase. ;)

I have no idea, but I'm betting a long time, though they may fade a bit. I mean, cooking extracts last for ages--why shouldn't these as well?

 HIC was a poet. ;)
And a wordsmith. I miss him. He hasn't been heard from in like four years. Was posting regularly on VU and then nothing. The folks at VU do keep his threads alive.

I have all his FA Note PDF's. The last one was from 2017-11-02.

Might as well post those in case anyone is interested. :)

It's a mystery, I tell you. I don't mind if the flavors fade a bit, but I'm afraid of them going bad/weird/unhealthy. Hopefully we'll always be able to get them. :nun:

Bake our legendary Nanaimo Bars in the comfort of your own kitchen! In 1985, Nanaimo Mayor Graeme Roberts held a contest to find the definitive Nanaimo Bar recipe. Joyce Hardcastle’s recipe took top spot and is now Nanaimo’s “Official” Nanaimo Bar Recipe!

    The Ultimate Nanaimo Bar Recipe
    by Joyce Hardcastle

    Bottom layer
½ cup unsalted butter (European style cultured)
    ¼ cup sugar
    5 tbsp. cocoa
    1 egg beaten
1 ¾ cups graham wafer crumbs
    ½ cup finely chopped almonds
    1 cup coconut

Melt first three ingredients in top of a double boiler.
Add egg and stir to cook and thicken.
Remove from heat. Stir in crumbs, coconut and nuts.
Press firmly into an ungreased 8″x8″ pan.

    Middle layer
    ½ cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp. and 2 tsp. cream
    2 tbsp. vanilla custard powder
    2 cups icing sugar

Cream butter, cream, custard powder and icing sugar together well.
Beat until light. Spread over bottom layer.

    Top layer
    4 squares semi-sweet chocolate (1 oz. each)
    2 tbsp. unsalted butter

Melt chocolate and butter over low heat.
Cool. When cool, but still liquid, pour over second layer and chill in refrigerator.

Yup. HIC has disappeared from all social media. Shame. I've learned so much from him.

May as well get the Brunhilde. I can tell you that it’s a smallish tank with drop in coils and the flavor isn’t as good as the Brunhilde but decent for drop in coils. It’s a neat tank but no flavor banger like the Brunhilde. Just because I have to wait to post about it doesn’t mean it’s revolutionary. I’ve had companies ask me before to wait. I am hoping to get the Arbiter 2 for review but am not sure if I will.

I have the same kit you received for review. Haven't tried the Kremhild II tank yet.

SM has the RBA for the Kremhild II tank. Vapefly Kriemhild II 2 RBA/RMC Coil

I'll probably get one for mine. For me it would be better than buying coils.

God bless your heart, Hitt. No interest whatsoever in more drop-in coils. I have tons of Z and Sceptre coils and tanks and pods--no room in my closet for more.

But a new, easy to build RTA might come handy. Off to look for a Brunhilde/sbs kit.

    F the FDA.

One last question-- @ShowMeTwice or anyone who owns Brunhilde sbs--what diameter tanks does it take? 23 mm only? Or can it be used with larger, say 24 mm tanks?

ETA: On paper, it should, right? It works with the Kriemhild tank, which is wider that Brunhilde. Am I correct?

I like the height of the Kriemhild II but the coils are nothing to write home about so far. I’m trying the .2 right now. I was thinking of getting the rba.
