Radishes are so easy to grow, wish I'd grown them sooner. Excited to see how the watermelon radishes turn out and taste like at harvest.
I'm into radishes these days. However, I have to grow them. Not the ones from the store. I'm going to try to grow them with grow lights this winter alongside some lettuce. Regular shop lights and I do have LEDs. If you have any extra radishes for poops and grins you could try this recipe..https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...shes-recipe/&usg=AOvVaw2H7feVb--_4f_l7BxQUsfR

Interesting, I didn't know that frying them in butter was a good way of cooking. I'm going to have to try this.

Not much at the moment. Just relaxing, listening to the sound of the rain on my roof, and some (non-plant) music. It's very peaceful right now, that's how I prefer things.

I've been thinking about turnips, and what they might taste like with mustards. I'm growing a few different radish varieties, and I wonder what the greens taste like cooked. They're pretty bitter raw. Anybody cooked radish greens?

The roots of short top icicle radish are pretty tasty in a salad mixed with malabar spinach, cucumber, and a homemade olive oil vinaigrette.

Just drifting generally, and enjoying random things. I looked up some of the e-liquid recipes that y'all referenced, to see what ingredients I have here, or can adapt to fit said recipes. Nothing fits so far, but I just got started doing this again, so I'm sure I'll find something soon.

Tempted to go plant some more seeds in the rain, but the lightning keeps discouraging me. Best seed planting I've done yet has been in the rain, and may do it anyway. I'll probably wait until daylight though, kinda hard to see in the dark these days. Much easier to walk based on what my feet tell me.
I've not tries radish greens (I don't like radishes) but if you cook them down with a little vinegar and a dash of sugar I bet they are fine.

I've been growing dinosaur kale this year for the first time, turns out I love it. But so do a couple caterpillar species. They did not leave much. Now that it is colder I am getting some good leaves again though.
Next year I am getting something called BT that is a bacteria that will attack only the caterpillars. I'm going to make "BT" work for me
Also growing beets still for greens.

I used to love growing my own veg when I was in the UK. I've tried here in the South of France but it's too dry and even when you water well they hate the summer!! My garden's not very fertile either. Lots of rocks.

I was vaping my blackcurrant cake ice cream (Fran's base) and it started really irritating my lungs making me cough. I've left the cap off in case it's something in there that needs to evaporate.....any thoughts??

I hope it's not the blackcurrant CSC because I really like it.

I feel your pain. Try lemons, oranges, tomatoes, avocados, grape vines, lavender, rosemary. Things we couldn't grow in the old country.

I miss peonies and lilac the most. They just won't grow and flower here--and those that do have no fragrance at all...

I grow my radishes and lettuces in winter (in containers). Our soil is poor, too. They still need some additional water--we're semi-arid here as you are in the south of France.

Sorry, I only know FA Black Currant and never had any problems with it. Hope you get it sorted.

I like them sauteed like other greens--with oil, garlic and hot pepper flakes. But they have to be fresh. Those one finds in most supermarkets (still attached to radishes) are often wilted or wilting and pretty unappealing.

Yes...we have salvia, diplodenia, verbena, pelargoniums, Rosemary, thyme, oregano, avocado, stasis, various palms. Our problem is the winter gets quite cold so certain things need bringing in for the winter. If you can get lemons, oranges etc established, they're ok. It's a very similar climate to you....just a bit more cold winter wise. It even looks very similar.

    Somewhere between here and there
Good morning. Not mixing related but thought I’d share this. I had an issue with an eBay sale for my work account and looked up what I thought was eBay customer support number and called. It wasn’t and they wanted me to install any desk on my phone. Never do this. Any desk allows remote access and they can get your information. Luckily I realized it was a scam and hung up.

Vaping that new Chocolate Joe recipe with the FA Cappucino and VTA Choc Mousse throughout the night. It's growing on me. The Cappucino is definitely easier to take than the FA Espresso. Makes sense I guess, Espresso is strong stuff in reality.
@FranC do you feel the mousse gets better with age?

I love the mousse. I can't really say if it gets better with age though because I tend to steep everything.

I Want to steep everything, but I don't mix enough frequently, at least lately.
I tend to make bigger bottles even with newer recipes just so I can make sure to have some after a few weeks.
