Doesn’t everybody get Knocking on Heaven’s Door confused with Hell’s Bells.
Nope. I never liked Guns and Roses, AC/DC or any of the 80's metal bands.

I prefer progressive metal bands like Dream Theater. Their original drummer, Mike Portnoy, is widely recognized as one of the best drummers ever.

We won’t see 57 in any big hurry.
Like mid May. ;) About 16-18 weeks from now. Before we know it May will be here. Time flies. At least it always does for me. :D

We have a heat wave here, 27° currently. Temps will dip back to sub zero in a few days.

Friday night and Sat. Is our next go with sub 0 weather. Expecting our first real snowstorm Sun into Monday if it doesn’t go poof.

I don’t like sub zero or snow but I am happy it’s at least normal weather.

What are you folks up to tonight?
We watched the new Marvel Eternals movie, with Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek, on Disney+ last night. It was really good. :thumb:

"The Eternals, a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers who have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years, reunite to battle the evil Deviants."

    Good morning folks,
two packs to pick up, they can wait until tomorrow.
It has not been entirely easy to obtain electronics, there is clearly a shortage of goods globally. Oh well, I got a good selection of tactile switches from Panasonic.

I've been having a problem with my new printer at work. About 4-5 times I've come into work in the morning and there are pages printed despite my computer being off but the printer is on. Most times it is gibberish but yesterday morning I came in and there were about ten pages printed. Then this morning I came in and there was some code printed on two pages. I spent about an hour this morning with HP online doing a remote desktop on my computer. They removed the printer, reset it and reinstalled it. We'll see if that does any good.
That should work I would think.....sounds like another driver problem too.
I sorted mine in the end. I was running the Dell driver instead of the Microsoft updated Dell driver.....I probably downloaded it from optional updates....

    Somewhere between here and there
Your HP printer possibly did an 'automatic' sw update. It may have gotten hosed. HP has auto update enabled by default on most of their higher end printers.

Simple solution: Turn off auto updates for the printer via the HP sw utility or the web interface.

Generally, there is no need for further updates (depending) if everyone in your shop is able to print.

I'm no fan of auto updates on any device. Much prefer other folks install the 'latest and greatest' sw first. Once I know a vendors update is solid then I install. Saves unnecessary troubleshooting time.

Over the years there have been many instances of 'all' vendors prematurely releasing a sw update that wasn't ready for prime time.

I'll try switching that off. This morning I just came in to one blank page sitting on the printer so that's an improvement.

I can't even remember the last time I had to print anything. :w00t:

All of the tech manuals I use for repairs are online so I have to print schematics and things almost every day.

I've never had any OS, driver or virus problems on my Macs. That stuff is very rare on a Mac. I much prefer Unix based systems, like MacOS, which is UNIX 03-compliant (certified) based off of FreeBSD/BSD (not Linux ;)).

I do run Windows on two Mac's specifically for a couple of older PC apps. Rarely ever had to use a Windows machine in my working days. Big Blue and the Death Star, per my request, bought Macs for me to use.
