Ok - Caught up, nothing more to say other then I'm very disappointed and frustrated in ECF making this migration so difficult for their membership . . . Maybe tomorrow ECF will fix the site . . .
I am 100% confident Management is not happy with how the server migration went. They spent many many hours on it yesterday. ;)

The folks working on it will get it everything working. Be patient, this is how things go at times with software. :D

I would have patience if I could have at least signed in without creating a new account. If this keeps up, I won't be a supporting member for long.
They will fix it . Things always go south when making a server move, but they always get it right before they quit. It just can not be done instantly , everything good takes a little time.

I'm sorry to hear about your having to create a new account Rose. That sucks.

ECF has been up and down a few times already this morning. At this point, I can only imagine how frustrated the folks working on this are.

I can't really think of one time that a migration or update went as planned with anything whether it be the forum or just a pc. A while back, every time we got a windows update at work it would wipe out everyone's IP address at work and no one could connect to our mainframe. I'd have to go around and re-enter everyone's network settings for them.

I never did much with PC's. Large-scale mainframe systems was my bread and butter. With upgrades (sw and/or hw) we always did a test run on a backup system first. If everything worked properly then the actual upgrade was scheduled during whatever window the customer set. On that day if it didn't go well we had to be back up and running on the old sw or hw at the planned time.

Those upgrades always involved a lot of people on the customer side to verify everything was properly working.
