Curious why glass for such small bottles that likely will be empty in a short span? I was actually looking at like 100 10ml plastic eye drip style bottles.

I’ve been using these plastic bottles for a while now. They are better quality than some I got on eBay and Amazon.

Glass bottles are much easier to clean versus plastic bottles.

And... some folks prefer plastic bottles over glass.

Hmm might have to buy more containers then. Also couldn't get a syringe into the flavoring(gorilla style applicator tips) bottles and popping the tops can be messy.

I mostly mix larger quantities and measure the flavoring in a 10ml graduated cylinder. If I need small quantities of flavoring I use a 1ml syringe. Rather than sucking the flavoring out of the bottle with the syringe I squirt the flavoring into the top of the syringe. Just put your finger over the end of the needle so it doesn't drip out. That way you don't have to pop the top off the bottle. Another advantage of that technique is that you can use the same syringe for multiple flavorings. You aren't putting the syringe into the flavoring bottle so you don't have to worry about one flavoring getting in a different bottle.

Ahh I see. I have had bad experiences trusting digital scales, but that's good to know that some of my questions may be a bit difficult to answer for "most".

I tried scales but they didn't work out for me. Not the fault of the scales, just my impatience. I kept dumping too much flavoring in the bottle and overshooting the weight. You can add more but you can't take some out if you add too much.

Again this is where I get 100 different answers. The most common I have heard is 48hrs. What do you recommend?
Lol, yes you will get different answers on steeping.

If you are doing a fruit only mix, then a shake and vape is fine. Many do that, including myself. Although some will steep those for a few days or longer.

Mixes that use bakery flavors, creams, custards, ice creams (along with fruit or nuts) absolutely do require a long steep for all the flavors to "pop" or gel.

If it's a 30ml, or larger mix, then 3 weeks to a month. In my experience, if it's a 5ml or 10ml mix then 10-14 days is fine (but that also depends...).

If you end up using any MF (Medicine Flower) ultra concentrated flavors then plan on 6-8 weeks steep time.

How do most of you "draw" your PG/VG/NIC mix to put it in whatever container your going to mix it in? I bought a 30cc Syringe with a huge blunt tip but apparently the liquid is too thick. Got my very first DIY mix on the mixxer now. Pretty hyped

That's another job for the measuring cylinder. I keep my PG/VG/nic mix in 120ml bottles and it's easy to pour from them into a measuring cylinder. If you pour a little too much you can pour some back into the bottle.

Measuring cylinders aren't as accurate as syringes, or scales I guess, but if you're not into major accuracy they are super convenient.

I am giving everything a relaxing bath in 90% isopropyl. the tips themselves I "plunge" alcohol in and out a few times. The thought of mixing flavors had occurred to me.

That's a good idea. Back when I used syringes for everything, washing and drying them afterwards took longer than mixing the juice.

@Chiisaiinu, in your other thread you mentioned having the following flavors.
Currently I have Carmel, Bavarian cream, cinnamon sugar cookie, gummi bear, bubblegum(after smelling I have regrets), Graham Cracker, toasted marshmellow, Horchata, apple tart, Berry Mix, honey, cotton candy, banana cream, French vanilla, and cheesecake.

Looking at those flavors, and going from my tastes (lol), there are several mixes you can make now.

Caramel and Bavarian Cream would be tasty (also with graham). Caramel, banana cream and graham cracker. Toasted marshmallow, caramel and graham cracker. Adding a drop or two of the honey to any of the graham cracker mixes could be a nice touch. And adding a little French vanilla will add more complexity.

Your photo shows you have butterscotch too.

I've found that using caramel and butterscotch together will enhance one or the other. Example: if you want more caramel flavor then go higher with that and lower with b-scotch.

Cheesecake, berry mix and French vanilla. Apple tart, cheesecake and French vanilla. Banana cream and cheesecake. Adding the graham cracker to those will give you a pie crust.

Bubblegum and the berry mix should give you a decent berry tasting bubblegum.

I don't like cinnamon vapes so I can't help with that. Same for the Horchata and gummy candy.

ETA: Cotton candy is really just a sweetener.

I used to use the Cap horchata at 6% solo. Classwife turned me onto it.

That's super helpful. and gives me some ideas of directions I could go. This is the kind of help I was looking for. I am even more excited you mentioned honey. I got the honey on an impulse because in my mind honey has that sweet almost creamy flavor(well IRL honey anyways lol) that I thought might be fun as a "finish" to a dessert style juice.

Good to see you here! Lots to learn. I used syringes for about 5 minutes, tried to draw PG and said forget it and bought a scale and never looked back. If you go to https://..................../ they have a feature where you put in what flavors you have and it suggests recipes. Have fun!

I use glass pipettes and a thumbwheel pump for nik, pg and vg. Just count drops for flavors. It's been working for me and I try not to use much flavoring.

Good morning mixers. Happy Friday! I’m hoping to come home to a new fridge installed.

I desperately need to work on reviews. Not feeling well has put me behind. Just haven’t felt like writing.
