I’ve never got into duel coils. How do you figure your final wattage?

I use mostly .4 ohm coils so I come out around .2 ohms. They usually run good 40-50 watts depending on the airflow setting.

I have the Vape Tool app on my phone (Android) that I use to figure out builds. It gives a wattage range from a cooler to a hotter vape that I use as a starting point.

Sometimes the wrap count seems off to me a bit but I just adjust my numbers until I'm close to the ohm reading on the mod I'm using. I usually take a new reading with the mod after using a bit.
When I wrap using a drill bit I don't always get the coil super tight, so that might mess with things a bit.

I read that there were some concerns about Vape Tool some years back but I've not run into any worries yet.

I have no problems winding a coil.I use a graduated rod made for it. Just never done duels before.

So, I have a couple of recipe ideas and was wondering if any of you folks see any glaring problems with my initial numbers here. Haven't mixed them yet - still need to wash up some bottles!

    TPA Bavarian Cream • 2.0%
    TPA Black Cherry • 1.0%
    SSA Clotted Cream • 0.5%
    TPA Dragonfruit • 0.5%
    Cap Vanilla Cupcake • 1.0%

    *********

    SSA Clotted Cream • 0.5%
    Cap Shortbread • 3.0%
    INW Shisha Strawberry • 0.5%
    TPA Strawberry, Ripe • 1.5%

Thank you for any of your thoughts!

It just doesn’t make sense to me to use two coils so you can cut your ohms in half. Why not just use one low ohm coil instead? I’m ok with .5 but don’t really care for anything lower. I used Kanger .5 coils in the sub tank for a long time.

I would go 1.5 with the Clotted Cream and 2.5 with the Dragonfruit.

Not to mention you use more juice, which, of course, is the whole point.

Double coils might have had a use when vape gear was less efficient, but, these days?

    Never liked them.
Well,I’m going to find out how well I like them. I have my doubts. I will no doubt be trying a single in it after.

More surface area gives more dense vapor. Try the recurve on single then dual and you’ll see the difference.

I personally would go higher on the strawberry on the second recipe.I’d probably do 3% on the ripe and 1% on the shisha
