Morning, mixers,

Still nice here, temps in the high 60s, low 70s, although one day this weekend is guessed to hit 80. We'll take it Good weather for more yard work.

Uncle has given me leave to give you all an update on his circumstances. They ain't great. He had a bad time recovering from the transesophageal echocardiogram that was performed instead of the ablation he anticipated. Then the Saharan dust that has made its way to Florida wreaked havoc with his lungs, and he is now on oxygen 24/7. His diabetes is not being controlled adequately. And it looks as though he's going to have to go on dialysis soon. All in all, a very crappy time.

If he were writing this post, he'd probably try to keep things light and throw in a joke or two, but I am not he. It just plain sucks. Still, he's tough and blessed with a great attitude and says he'll be posting again soon. Here's hoping.

I've just about given up on getting a decent recipe from ELR. Thank goodness for Zazie's blog.

100% They are either science experiments to 20 flavorings(doubt half of them are necessary), or they just don't taste good. That said we all have unique taste buds so maybe to someone its amazing.

I am up. Dang I slept like 9 hours! LOL I love it and feel SO much better than when I was getting 2 hours. The 3 yr. old went home last night but is coming back today and promised she'd spend the night. Fun times.

She is - she went through a period of really not wanting to come over here to having a lot of fun, especially with her sister. I hope they both spend the night.
