They're only bases for now. Here is what I mixed...Interested in your waffle ideas.
Interesting. I have a couple waffle flavors but will have to look and see what they are. Haven’t got into any waffle mixes yet. They're only bases for now. Here is what I mixed...
Waffle 1:
SSA Soft Waffle 2%
SSA Waffle with Butter 1.5%
WF Vanilla Cream Extra 1.75%
and
Waffle 2:
MB Classic Belgian Waffle 3%
SSA Waffle with Butter 1%
SSA Soft Waffle 0.75%
WF Vanilla Cream Extra 2%
I want to get those set before proceeding further with additional ideas I have. Ideas like a fruit or two along with a whipped cream and/or a custard. Maybe a syrup (FA Maple or VTA Golden). Ice cream, one or two fruits and waffles would be good.
Also waffles with a chocolate, a nut, something creamy like an ice cream or whipped cream. Thinking chocolate chip walnut waffles. IDK, we'll see, I wrote down a bunch of ideas.
Those 3 waffles and FA Waffles Vanilla are really good flavors individually but IMO none are a complete waffle by themselves. Waffle, like a pancake, is difficult because on their own, IRL and in DIY, there really isn't much there flavor wise (just like an angel food cake or simple white cake). They're light on flavor, each has good texture but each needs help.
My goal is for one or two waffle combinations that are more complete profile wise.
I hope you like it!I’ll probably mix the milkshake base. I like the new Cap. flavors.
I love the Cap. Shortbread . 3% sft or mix.I hope you like it!I am impressed with the new CAP flavors. Still sitting on a CAP Shortbread that I did solo, haven't worked up the gumption to try it yet. My last mix with it didn't turn out good. I should have tried it solo first. Oh well... live, mix and learn.
One of these days I'll try it.

Individually the four waffle flavors I have taste similar to a plain Eggo, Vans or any of the generic branded waffles.Haven’t got into any waffle mixes yet.
I have SSA Waffle with Butter, SSA Soft Waffle, Cap. Waffle and VTA Golden syrup. That’s from the flavors I haven’t put away yet. From my list I have SSA Crisp Waffle. A little would bring a crisp taste. They're only bases for now. Here is what I mixed...

I was thinking the same with crisp waffle. VTA Golden Syrup is good. IMO it's not a sweet type of syrup. I have some in a wafer mix (Golden Wafer, think it's in Zaz's blog).I have SSA Waffle with Butter, SSA Soft Waffle, Cap. Waffle and VTA Golden syrup. That’s from the flavors I haven’t put away yet. I had read that the syrup wasen’t really sweet which is why I grabbed a small bottle.I was thinking the same with crisp waffle. VTA Golden Syrup is good. IMO it's not a sweet type of syrup. I have some in a wafer mix (Golden Wafer, think it's in Zaz's blog).
Also have it in a waffle + syrup mix. I don't think the waffle + syrup mix is in Zazie's blog. That was mostly a mix for me to test SSA Waffles with Butter.
SSA Waffles with Butter 2.5%
WF Vanilla Cream Extra 1.25%
VTA Golden Syrup 1%.
In that test mix golden syrup is rather tasty.
That's why I bought it.I had read that the syrup wasen’t really sweet which is why I grabbed a small bottle.
I’m fine with the less sweet one. I can’t see it being a flavor I use all the time. That's why I bought it.
I've had good luck with FA Maple Syrup in mixes. It can be too sweet for some. I think if care is taken with other flavor choices it's perceived level of sweetness can be reduced.
About a month ago I added 1% maple syrup to my Golden Wafer mix to see how it would work with golden syrup. It added a nice maple note and didn't make the mix any sweeter. I like how the two syrups work together. Perhaps the golden helped to reduce maples sweetness.
Hi all, I finished "The Terminal List" on Amazon Prime last night and thought it was excellent. Looking forward to more seasons of that.
Here it is 106. Ugh.
Which are you using?I got slightly motivated and went through some of my tanks that were just sitting in a drawer and tried to somewhat organize them into ones I’m currently using and then ones I’m not.
