    Happy Birthday hittman

    Happy Birthday, hittman!! :banana::bday::banana:
Hoping the only clouds overhead today are the ones you make! :vapor:
Thanks! We’re going to run over to the nursery to see about getting trees to replace ours. The evergreens are a pita. I never had a tree die before until we had them plant these three. I replaced the first one a month or so ago and now I’m going to have to plant two more.

So, as you know, I had to divvy the two parts of my blog among a bunch of new entries so that I could add recipes as they are posted. The new entries have finally been approved, and you should all be able to see them. Two questions: I moved all the recipes that used to be under Liquor to the Beverage section, which now has two subsections, one for alcoholic recipes and the other for nonalcoholic. Is this change useful, or would you rather the alcoholic recipes be kept in their own entry?

Second, all the new entries incorporate everything that was in the two parts of the original blog. Is there any reason to keep those two original parts visible? I can no longer update them, but perhaps some of you might find it more convenient to look for things there. On the other hand, they are now redundant, so still being able to access them might be confusing.

    Thoughts?

Your change on the beverage is fine with me and I think doing away with the original blog parts is fine also.

    Doesn't matter to me.

I can't think of any reason for the original parts.

    Thoughts?
    Make the redundant ones 'Private'.

Thank you Zazie for all the effort and work you have put into your blog. It is truly a fantastic resource. :)

One beverage section, two parts. Works for me :) No need for you to have extra work!!

Original two? I agree with others, redundant, not needed, so delete or mark private.

Welp, turns out I can't make the two old versions private, 'cause they're too big. I guess I'll have to ask an admin to delete them altogether. This makes me strangely nervous. I think I'll wait a bit before asking that they be junked.

As long as you are confident in the new ones you created (and your offsite backups) there should not be any issue with deleting the old versions.

I can't think of a reason why the old versions would somehow be tied to the new ones.

FWIW, I 'reported' the test blog entry I created earlier and asked for it to be deleted. Within a minute or two Classy deleted it. My original blog entry is still there and fine.

Oh, I'm not worried that the new entries will disappear. I'm just being silly and sentimental.

I got the lawn mowed and planted my wife’s hydrangea she bought today. I put my old smoker out by the curb with a free sign on it. I also posted a free ad on Craigslist. I hope someone takes it. I really don’t want to put it back on the deck.
