I totally agree with you. Since she knows I don’t like going over there I fully expect a bit of attitude about it.
Your wife may well be annoyed, but that's the recommendation people are given at Christmas, sick, stay home.

Our hospitals are filled to the brim with respiratory diseases, RS, flu, covid. There is a lot around. Certainly the same across the pond with you.

    Yep, it’s the same here.

It’s the right thing to do even if she doesn’t agree.
I ended up laying down for a couple hours and fell asleep. This is kind of a big deal because I never take naps. Just talked with the wife and sounds like she has the same thing so neither of us is going and she didn’t have anything negative to say. We can’t figure out how we caught it. No one in her family that came over is sick. I kind of forgot that she went over to her friends house for a little bit Saturday night and they have visitors in town. My guess is she brought it home from there.

You've gone to stores. Maybe you caught whatever it is in one of them.

Just last night was the first time in a few days we’ve been shopping. Who knows. I just hope we get over it quickly. My oldest is renting a car and coming home tomorrow.

A person who has a virus (common cold, RSV, flu, covid) doesn't have to show signs of sickness in order to transmit a virus to another person. You could have gotten it from someone who is asymptomatic. An asymptomatic person can be just as contagious as one with symptoms.

I probably should have known that but didn’t think that deeply about it. Whatever it is, it sucks.

I had a bad cold in November. First one in over a decade. Girls had me take a couple covid tests. Those were negative. Man I was down for the count for the first few days. Very tired, slept a lot, runny nose, wicked headaches and coughing. No one else got sick (good thing). Week before last at one of my doctors appts I asked my doctor if I could have had RSV. She said no because I didn't have a sore throat. They're seeing nearly everyone who comes into the hospital with RSV having sore throats early on.

I don’t have a sore throat so that’s good. It’s mainly sinus and headache and I feel a little achy. I did get my flu shot a couple months ago.

Hope you sick folks feel better! I'm still masking and have my safety prescription glasses I wear when at work and shopping. I will always mask. I also clean my food packaging from shopping. Anything that cannot be wiped down gets a time out (quarantine). I've been doing this for a long time.
I'm finding I'm losing interest in vaping flavors again. I can taste them and I have a hyper taste thing going on. One extreme to the other.

I'm stocked up with covid rapid tests. Another round of freebies can be obtained by signing up at the post office. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...estid=377312&usg=AOvVaw2zpDXIK-oq7ufo8OcliJ4p

Happy holidays to all of you!

Evidently I’ve caught a cold during the holiday festivities. Sinus drainage and feeling a little tired. The wife said we were invited over for dinner to her friends house but I think it would be rude to attend sick. I’m waiting to see what she says. She knows I don’t like going over there anyway but I’m going to leave it up to her.
I got the same thing. Started sunday feeling tired, runny nose and sneezing. I'm guessing cold since I had all the covid shots and the flu shot. Though it could be a flu that was mostly tamed by the shot. Feeling better right now.

Oak Island just finished so I'm about to watch the recording. I'll get back on here and let you know if they found the treasure.

Morning Mixers, I am up after 2 hours in bed. Just can't sleep, don't know why. Didn't watch any X Files last night but watched a lot of YouTube as I am playing Civ6 at the hardest level and getting stomped by the game. It's a challenge and frustrating but I'm determined to win at that level. Hope everyone has a great day!

    Morning, mixers.

Seems we dodged the worst of the winds here, although still dark so hard to tell if some more trees fell in the woods. Said to back off later today.

Hope all the ill recover quickly!!
