Get anything good for your b-day?

I don't know yet, there are a few wrapped presents. Those won't get opened until tonight.

DD2 is currently baking a birthday cake. Earlier she made some very special brownies ( ). For supper grilled swordfish fillets for mom and I, plus whatever side dishes they decide on. The girls and their spouses will have vegetarian lasagna.

Oooooooooh, the 7 flavor one. LOL. I hope you like it.
Yes, that’s the one. All I have to do now is remember to add the guava. I couldn’t get myself to mix a 15ml. Recipe looks good to me and I’m just about sure I will like it.

Don’t eat your special brownies too early. You will get nothing done.

Finished mixing 10mls of a new bakery base. It is quite tasty, and flavorful, off the mix. This mix leaves a nice bakery aroma in the air. I promptly mixed up a 30ml batch.

    CAP Vanilla Cupcake 1.5%
    FA Graham Crust 1%
    WF Crumble Topping 0.7%
    WF Cream Puff 1.5%
    TPA Brown Sugar 0.7%
    VTA Butter Base 0.5%

The brown sugar totally enhanced the graham flavor. That was a very pleasant, but unexpected, surprise.

    Now I'll let it steep.

Update on our new pup - it's been over 2 weeks now since we got her and she and I have really bonded. She spends all day with me in my recliner, and when I go to bed she goes under the covers and curls up against me. I think we need a visit to a GOOD vet but other than that she's good to go and definitely a part of the family now.

The funny part is the wife wanted a new dog to be HER lapdog, but the only problem with that is that the dog chooses who to go to, not us. I am happy with it,
Wasn't the dog she returned her lapdog? I seem to remember that you were disappointed that it bonded with her more than you.

What's ailing Rascal that she needs the services of a better vet? And how is her housetraining coming along?

Looking thru my lists I was surprised to see I have a second pear I completely forgot about. It’s TFA
TFA/TPA Pear is good. To me it tastes like canned pears vs a real pear. That's not a bad thing or a knock on it. I've used it with FA Pear. Always with FA Pear out front percentage-wise.

I like FA Pear with INW Pear. They make for a very realistic and well rounded pear profile. I think FA Pear is the most realistic tasting of the pear flavors. Flavour Art pretty much nailed the profile.

Good to hear the TFA Pear is good. if I turn out to really like pear then I will get the INW. I have no idea if I'll like it but we'll see.
