I just got all my flavors! BCF shipped very fast. Actually the order shipped out like an hour after I put it in. Fastest ever. I went and tried adding flavorings drops at a time to this one nasty e juice I didn't like. Thats when I realized "mango strawberry" had a bunch of pineapple in it. It smells exactly like my pineapple, way too much is in there. I went a little crazy and put a drop of this and that. The flavor actually became more tolerable, but it tastes like nothing now... Lol I'm gonna try putting a few more drops of strawberry and some sour and see what happens.

I put a drop into the tank of some of my no menthol juice to make it menthol. And the juice in the tank looks kinda "gelli-ified" wth? The golden tank is the weird one, silver one is what it looked like before I added a drop of menthol, and same brand of juice different flavor. The clear juice is already mentholated.

I think my guava and lulo flavors got mixed up labels. The "lulo" smells exactly like guava candy, a flavor I've been really looking for. And the "guava" smells very green like an unripe fruit. On another note, I just spruced up the "propaganda illuminati" flavor I didn't like. Sweetened and mentholated, added a little bit more strawberry and couple drops of lulo. Tastes Interesting. I'm sure steeping will make it better too. Now it's not as bitter.

Ooh I'm so happy. I'm too impatient to get the rest of my juice making stuff. Sitting here concocting random stuff with my store bought juices. I'm glad I was able to save them tho.

FLV Cool Menthol is crystallizing in your tank. Is the juice in your tank high VG?

Looks just like one I found on Reddit:

FLV Cool Menthol is an ultra-concentrate, meaning it is very strong, use too much and it will taste like crap.

You need to shake every flavor bottle very well before adding a flavor to a mix.

As you just learned, you can't just add it to a tank. It needs to be mixed in a bottle along with your VG/PG/Nic. You should then shake the crap out of that bottle - - - before vaping the juice.

Also since I posted that it's actually stabilized and smoothed out. Not as gloppy looking anymore. I read that a drop can be added to a tank, glad I didn't do the bottle.

Why does my menthol taste more like lip medex and not like icy?

There are several menthol flavors. If FLV Cool Menthol is not to your liking, try another menthol flavor.

I would let it steep for a few days and then try it. Vaping flavors straight from the bottle is not recommended. You will not taste the true flavor as all flavors do best with steeping.

With DIY flavors you really can't go by reviews on BCF or elsewhere.
Why?
Because what one person says is the best flavor, another person will say it tastes like crap.

For me personally, flavor reviews are completely useless. My flavor notes would be of no use to anyone. Everyone's sense of taste is very different.

    Somewhere between here and there
I’ve added a drop here and there to a tank before if I know what that added flavor is bringing to the mix. Like SMT said it’s always better to mix in a bottle but I’ve been known to add a drop of raspberry or something to a tank if the flavor is weak.

I use a combination of menthol and koolada in my menthol tobacco. Some people like ws-23 as a cooling agent. I’m not a fan of it myself.

Ok cool. I suppose trial and error... Maybe even a lot of error... Goes into beginner juice making. I'll be prepared for some disappointment until I can get it right.

Hey! That may actually be what's in my store bought ice flavors. It may not even be menthol after all as I assumed. It has cooling but not really any flavor.

Edit: this may be the exact reason I think a lot of the ice fruit flavors are nasty cause it's menthol and not cooling.

I can’t tell you how many mixes I’ve dumped over the years. It does take some time to figure out what you like. I started mixing because the company I bought my menthol tobacco from went out of business. I never thought I’d be interested in fruits, bakery, or other types of recipes but I like them too. In the beginning I’d find recipes that sounded good online and buy the flavors to make them. That’s where the rabbit hole begins. I jumped in head first and still haven’t found the other side. I haven’t looked lately but remember my flavor count being over 700.

FA Lulo and SSA Guava do not taste like they smell. I would not rely on your sense of smell as a guide with DIY flavors. We vape to taste the flavors.

Taste and smell are two separate senses, however both heavily contribute to our experience of flavor.

When you finally get around to vaping a steeped FA Lulo mix it will taste different than what you smelled. Same with SSA Guava.

I've never eaten a lulo in real life, so I have zero clue what they taste like. I buy guava whenever I am able. To me, SSA Guava tastes like a real guava.
