This weekend plans are limited chores (laundry & vacuuming) and mixing as priorities. I know my stash is in trouble when I have 6 empty bottles. Sadly, I'm going to do some work-related work too. It's month and quarter end (lots of reports to run) and I want to get ahead of the madness as I'll be out of the office 2 days next week.

I've joined the osteoarthritis club, my right knee flared up in mid-August. I'm now doing PT twice a week. The great news is that Jenna, my therapist, put Kinesio tape on the knee and what a difference! I can even do stairs comfortably, that's a huge improvement. The bad news is that she gave me a set of exercises to do daily and keeps adding to the list each time I see her!

Problem now - what to mix along with my usual suspects? Decisions, decisions. I'll see what I feel like when I get my stuff out tomorrow.
Glad she could help with your knee. Much luck with your mixing session.

Scanning my recipes, with the challenge of the cat demanding attention while I do, I'm thinking Cream Puffs (SMT), Boys Jammy Sponge Cake (FranC) and Enter the Dragon posted by Hittman. I greatly appreciate everyone's contributions! I will have to make a few substitutions, but I want to get the sense of the recipes to decide if I want to add more flavors to my stash.

Slice them up, put a little salt and pepper on them and eat em :D
They have incredible flavor. Bad news of the day, got a significant puncture in 1 day old tires. Smh :'(
That one tomato is an awfully big serving.

P.S. Condolences re the wounded tire.

    Morning, mixers.

Rain seems to be done, but only for a short while, if they got it right. Sunny and mild for the weekend, more rain next week. That's the right schedule, finally :)

Anyone here use Chromecast? I'm curious to know whether you can cast a tab on your computer and check other tabs without interrupting the cast.

Don't use Chrome, but I'd doubt it. Casting generally sends whatever is on the screen, so if you change that...

But give it a try :)

    Somewhere between here and there
    Your daughter is moving?
She shared an apartment with a friend when she first moved back to KC but has been living with her boyfriend and still paying half the rent until her lease expired. It’s over now so she is moving her stuff out of the apartment. Some stuff is coming here like her bed. We wanted it since it’s bigger for when the oldest and her boyfriend visit. They are coming next weekend to visit so I need to assemble the bed frame. I couldn’t believe how heavy the mattress was. It came in a box originally but we couldn’t even fold it in half last night.

The reason I asked is this quote, found here: "

It’s never been easier to connect with your friends during your favorite TV shows or movies. With Chromecast, you can text and tweet while watching your favorite scenes without interrupting what’s casting on your TV.

Chromecast’s multitasking capabilities allow you to continue using your laptop, tablet, or mobile device while casting videos or casting a Chrome browser tab. Once you begin casting, your device is available to open other apps, check emails and social media, create YouTube playlists, and even text.

Plus, you’ll still have the ability to use your device as a remote, allowing you to stop, pause, rewind, and fast forward.

Unfortunately, the text doesn't go on to explain how this works. BUT I just looked a little harder and found this: "Once the Chromecast device is set up and connected to the network, you can cast a video content to any Chromecast-enabled apps. After you cast the video content from your phone to the TV, you can now do whatever you want on your mobile phone." Still doesn't explain how it works, but it certainly seems to confirm that what used to be impossible is now an option.

Guess I have to do more digging. I was hoping that this thread would once again save me the trouble. Damn.

Or just link it up and play around? Yeah, the "help" page isn't much help. Nothing Chrome here.
