Haha, my attempt at a review:
Okay, I'm just about finished with my Mangoria tester.
My initial impression is that it feels a bit thin, which might be expected as this recipe is all fruits.
I don't recall ever eating a real mango so I can't really compare there. I have read in flavor notes about some mango flavors having a bit of "funkiness". I believe that I had some funk going on, at least at first.
It did seem to settle down after a bit and lose some of that.
There was a little bit of harshness to me early on as well but that also seemed to settle down and at times felt sort of smooth, but still on the thin side.
The blood orange seems less involved than I thought it would be so that would get a boost if I pursue this further. (it's supposed to be the "gore" in Mangoria)
Dragonfruit was used low for its blending effect and I think it might be doing that as I can't say that I really notice it.
Blackcurrant was also used low and intended to add a little note of "mystery" and may be doing that. Again, I've not had the real thing but it seems there is a wee bit of a berry type of note lurking about.
It is not one of my worst attempts, but is not something I would crave. It definitely needs some work, for my tastes.
I'm actually testing in two tanks at the moment,
Fat Rabbit Solo RTA with a N80 fused Clapton
Geekvape Aero tank with a SMOK TFV9 mesh coil.
Mangoria (as tested, 7 week steep)
0.50% Blackcurrant (SC) (WF)
1.50% Blood Orange (FA)
1.00% Dragonfruit (TPA)
2.50% Island Mango (SC) (WF)
2.00% Ultimate Mango (Flavor Jungle)
