I agree, 61 here and sunny. It’s feeling like spring here already. Another 60 degree day here.

So my plan for today is to worry about neutrinos.
Good evening, hitt.Good evening everyone. Work was chaotic today. I’m glad it’s over.
I'm not complaining about the above average temperatures - I'll take 40deg over 20 anytime. I know SMT would take the reverse. Kind of like vaping, different preferences!
Big problem now - what to mix this weekend. A few usuals need to be restocked, but I like to include something new/different. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.
Three great games! One of our Mah Jong sets is probably close to 100 years old, gifted from an old friend many years back. The other set is only about 50, which I got while in college, so probably better than many of the sets around now. Sadly neither has seen much use since my MIL passes a few years back - we used to play 3 handed nearly every night.
But zero Go players in the area... and that set is also about 50![]()
G'day FranA big HI to all you random folksCan I get a HI.?
Yesterday I found out that 6 billion neutrinos are passing through my thumb nail every second, but they interact so rarely that they will only hit an atom in my nail once every trillion years. And if that happened tomorrow I wouldn't even notice. On top of that, if the current theories are right even larger numbers of dark matter particles are streaming through my thumb nail right now.
The only way to protect from all that is to enclose yourself in a cocoon of black holes. So my plan for today is to worry about neutrinos.

Hello, gloopHello!
Hello!
Hello!
Hello, everybody!
Happy to have my human body lesson for the day.I either saw that about the neutrinos on TV or read about it online.
FWIW, the human body contains about a billion billion billion (10^27) atoms. Considering our bodies, and everything else on planet Earth, are made up of atoms, nothing is truly solid mass. Because there is no source of mass in the world it is an illusion.
Everything in the endless, and beginningless, Universe is made of atoms (and whatever else science, in its infancy, has yet to discover).
Most of the elements of our bodies were formed in stars over the course of billions of years and multiple star lifetimes.
ETA: Oh and, about 100 trillion neutrinos pass through our bodies every second.![]()
