A port worker said the ship was having electrical outages before it left dock. They never should have let it go. I guess the harbor will be closed for months with all that steel and concrete in the channel. ugh

The same thing happened to the Queen Isabella causeway that goes to South Padre Island in 2001 after being struck by a barge. It happened only a few days after 9/11, so the first thought was terrorism.

The video shows the ship traveling and then completely losing power 2 times just before striking the bridge.
