The food was good even though it was just finger food. I did have 3 glasses of wine. The good news is that the fundraiser did meet its goal of $250k. Now the kiddos will have state of the art AC & heat in their 100 year old school building.

We will have a total eclipse in our North country but much less down here. It will be clear so all the folks that went up north will be happy.I am washing my clothes and bedding today.
Sunny and 64 the weather says. 41 and sunny right now.
We are expecting perfect weather all afternoon for the eclipse, no clouds at all and 75 degrees. The local news just said police are expecting a million people to hit the city, up from 200,000 predicted yesterday. Every hotel for miles is booked out. There are multi-hour traffic jams on all the interstates so a lot of people won't make it into town. Police expect the traffic to just stop while everyone gets out to check out the eclipse. Local drivers still trying to get somewhere, and our interstates are pretty violent anyway. Recipe for chaos.
We will be heading for the local park with our folding chairs, just a 10 min walk away. Bottles of water and plenty of vapes. If it gets crowded or rowdy we can just head home.
