land of pleasant living
Good morning! My son started a new job today, I'm really hoping that he likes it. I won't worry for him if he stays with this one, it's hard for people to find jobs with any benefits nowadays.
I put some apple turnover in my bantam box which was sitting idle, and it had a wee bit of tobacco left in it. The flavor reminds me of the apple pipe tobacco they used to sell. I may have to try an apple tobacco mix. : )

I was working on my computer transfer and found these old photos of my dog Jack. His owners dropped him at our vet and told them to put him down and left. He was a year old and had all the bones in his front lower legs broken. The vet had fixed his bones but it didn't take. We took him to a specialist bone vet who had the equipment and fixed him up good. Cost us 3K.

The vet's assistant told us later that Jack's owners were known to them from previous police contacts. They had two devil children who tortured dogs. Shortly after we got Jack they were caught dumping two brutalized dogs and banned from owning dogs for life, and the boys were put under Child Services supervision. Jack just got lucky.

After all the .... he had been through he had an amazing personality. Smartest dog I ever had too,

He died a year ago at the age of twelve. Woke up one morning throwing up blood. Turned out he had swallowed something and the blood loss had done too much damage to his heart and organs.

These pics are from the first day we had him. He walked on his back legs for the first couple of months and he was still in a state of perpetual excitement about life.

RIP Jack

RIP, indeed. He was lucky you found him. Wish he could have had more years.

    Morning, mixers.

Still watching the automatic sprinkler system. :)

Another 1/4" overnight, more on tap although said to be getting down to "scattered" showers later today.

    Hello, mixers :)

I've not accomplished very much today, but I did mix up one new tester.
I was looking into an older commercial liquid from Space Jam called Pluto.
I have never tried it but after poking around a bit, I went with the description of a mixed melon gum with a hint of mint.

Planet Ex • ult. tutti frutti, wild melon, watermelon (taffy type), a drop of TPA Peppermint, and a drop of SS.

I finally got started on my mixing marathon. I got nic base in all the bottles and flavor in about 1/4 of them. Those Capella flavors are a bear to open. I had to get out the toolbox. I use a flat head screwdriver to pop the child proof lid off, then pliers to break the seal. Subsequent use should be a lot easier. Right now I'm taking a vape break.

    Somewhere between here and there
Good evening. More mowing today after work. We’re supposed to get 2-3 days of rain.

I have a small problem. I have been using a mix that I labeled tropical mango but don’t have a recipe by that name. My best guess is that it’s actually tropical yogurt but I have SMT’s original recipe and another with substituting and I don’t know which one it is that I’m using.
