Yeah, starting my 76th rotation. Looking for a parade of trombones

been thinkin' about that reference for several hours.......... "hmmm, why does that sound familiar?"

then....... BOOM!!!, it hit me.........

i remember the 1962 movie, Merredith Wilson's "The Music Man", or rather, i remember watching reruns of it later on in the 60's
i was only 2 in '62

Yup, Music Man. My brother is 3 years older and that's similar to the card I sent him then! (Home made, dredged up the pic)

And they did seem to get the guess right, nice and cool low 70s. Now if only they could deliver some rain, I'd be very happy!

Howdy Fran, random folks. I just got back from my workout. I upped my distance to 2 miles on the treadmill. It's no walk in the park where I can easily manage 3 miles. If I get myself out of bed early enough tomorrow, I'll do a walk in the park and do an extra lap. That should put me close to 4 miles. We'll see. It's currently 99 and the high was 101. Tomorrow's gonna be worse with a guess of 104, and of course, no rain.

I got out the Katcake to try. I'm liking it. It's rum forward, which I like. I wonder what it would be like with a tiny touch of raisin? I know raisins are a thing that people either like or detest.

Good morning. Another pretty nice day here. Looks like the rest of the week will be pretty good. For some odd reason my work load has slowed down. It has been really pretty busy all summer so seems odd to slow down now.

Weather says 74 for us today which is nice to me but really odd for August. What's even stranger is our 10 day forecast is all 70's.
