I just made banana bread and put it in the oven. The wife mentioned yesterday how we haven’t had it in a long time.
We make it with walnuts in the batter and the wife makes a topping for it with brown sugar, a little flour, butter, and chopped walnuts.
New Illinois laws affecting electronic cigarettes go into effect Jan. 1
State Sen. Julie Morrison, D-Lake Forest, said some e-cigarettes are designed to look like school supplies, like highlighters, erasers and pencil sharpeners.“This law will prohibit tobacco companies from pulling the wool over the eyes of educators and guardians whose job it is to keep kids safe,” said Morrison.
Elizabeth Hicks with the Consumer Choice Center said the assault on vaping may push some Illinoisans back to regular combustible cigarettes, leaving taxpayers to pick up the tab.
“Taxpayers unfortunately also suffer in addition to consumers,” said Hicks. “The annual Medicaid costs for smoking-related illnesses in Illinois is over $2 billion, which is one of the highest throughout the country.”
I'm sure this law will stop young people from vaping. Just like other laws have stopped them from smoking, drinking, sex etc.
Been working on my puzzle a little. I also put together the plant stand I got for my birthday. I did that because I got a plant from the Christmas party. I also got tall lamp at the Christmas party. I wanted it for my puzzle so I have to put that together next. Probably won't do that today.
I had to make a quick run to the store since the wife forgot to get ice cream to go with the pie tomorrow. I’m probably going to go see what else I can cook ahead of time.
I know dd made chocolate chip Cookies and brownies this morning but don't know if she made anything else. She had a bunch of stuff out so maybe she did.
Cookies are my favorite. I’m not too picky on what kind.
