After all the shopping we did for her family, I got a 12” slicing knife for when I do bbq, an assortment of sawzall blades, and an electronic candle lighter.
I originally had no plans for Christmas, but my brother invited me and mom over for lunch. They originally were planning to have a sandwich buffet, but they didn't buy the groceries in advance and couldn't find a single store open, so SIL tried to order pizza, but the pizza place was closed, too. We ended up having Jack-in-the-Box. Dd called me and she thought that was funny. I got a thermal mug.
I should be used to it by now. We put so much time and effort into shopping for her family then feel like there’s little or no thought going into the gifts we receive. It’s not really about the cost or number of gifts but more about knowing the person you’re shopping for.
That is true. A little less effort in your shopping would work.
I agree. The wife and I hand picked six gifts for her mom that she liked all of and then I get one slicing knife from her when I already have a good slicing knife. My wife said her mom gave her the exact same earrings that she gave her last year.
My mom is forgetful when it comes to gifts. Once she gave me a jewelry box 2 years in a row. I often will wear something she gave me and she will ask me where I got it.
No thoughts to their gifts so why should you bother.
Good morning. I haven’t played anything on my PlayStation in a long time so I might fire it up this morning. The controllers are probably dead so will need to charge them first.
We have 8 little degrees this morning. The sun is shining and the weather says we will have 35 today and 7 for overnight. After that we will warm up for a few days.
