Update on my IRS problems. Finally got
through to the tax lady. She tried a load of stuff and couldn't figure it out. With me on the phone she called the IRS help desk, got a message saying due to huge demand they were unable to connect her to a human today and to call back next working day. I have to go to the tax lady's office on Mon and try to call in from there.
She floated a few theories, none of which would be good news. Maybe they intend to send me a new PIN by mail. Or they will require me to submit my return by mail. Or it takes a while for the new PIN I set up to populate across their system. Her assistant apparently resubmitted my return multiple times in case she had typed something in wrong so maybe she exceeded some limit.
Waiting again.
