Good morning, hitt.:) Hopefully you'll not be too hot today. 98 for us. UGH
We got pretty close to that. We never got more rain.

Work is dead again. I don’t understand why. This is usually the busiest time of year for me. Hopefully things pick up soon.

Good evening, hitt.:) Sorry your work is so slow.

We have 1 more day in the 90's the weather says. Then 2 cooler days before it starts heating up again.

I don’t believe the forecast. It said it was 91 for a high. It was way hotter than that when I left work.

Did they ever resolve this for you dear?

I had a similar issue with a geekvape device. They asked for pictures, proof of payment, videos then some more videos, etc... The person I was talking to barely spoke English and didn't seem to understand me. They did end up refunding tho. The way I got a refund is by saying that it was defective and eventually the person opened a ticket. I asked them directly for a refund. I was very surprised by their support. I thought for a moment they wouldn't refund.

Since I'm in the EU we do have 2 year warranty on electronic products so that could be a factor too. Funnily enough I had a toothbrush that I had just bought that started making a rattling noise (something is loose inside). Oral-B would not refund it. They scammed me and blatantly violated the law! Even after I reminded them that they were required to provide me with warranty. That company took a serious fall from grace! They told me they couldn't do it because I had no receipt / picture of the receipt to offer (they can't even verify that so it's a lie / excuse).

Also with regards to geekvape. I get the impression that like many other Chinese vape companies they don't really do much quality control / longevity anymore since they've already "made it" as a brand. The only one that is consistent seems to be vaporesso, but I have my gripes with that one too. They have no waterproof mods unfortunately and they didn't let me enter their "giveaway". I'm not even sure it was a real and not just some PR stunt! But what else is there to buy.

For me geekvape is still the best in terms of box mods since they do have good products and actually honor warranty (at least in my case / for box mods / maybe with an RTA not so much?)

Freemax seems good also. Are there any other waterproof sturdy box mods? I know some use lesser known brands like dovpo etc but not sure about that one. Also why the heck do people use mech mods? Don't you wanna pick the wattage you vape at and not risk getting blown up? Some day because it has direct max voltage out (there's no circuit between the battery and coil of course just a switch) but does it really make that much of a difference?

I did get to choose another rta from their line and it was an okay device, but with the headache they caused me and the fact that others were having issues with Geekvape, I've refused to do business with them. I like Vaporesso, too. My favorite mod is the Gen or Gen-s. I have a bunch of those in my stash, but I've been using the first one that I pulled out of the box like 5 years ago. The only issue i have with them is the glue holding the magnets that keep the battery cover in place is weak, but superglue can fix that.

Good morning. Years ago, geekvape used to be my favorite company and really enjoyed reviewing for them. Then at some point they started falling apart as far as customer service and stopped having myself and many others do reviews. They started making a bunch of pods and the mods and tanks they did release were just revisions of the same old things. They lost their design engineer that developed the aegis line and things went downhill from there. They said some not nice things about myself and others here on ECF that reviewed for them and I swore I’d never review anything for them again. As a matter of fact I haven’t even used any of their hardware that I own for a couple years.

Which would you recommend then? I'm thinking about buying a new mod. I have a few prerequisites tho.

    - Box mod (regulated only)
    - Waterproof
    - Shock proof
    - Preferably a newer model
    - Single battery
    - Good safety (venting, battery safety, great short circuit protection...)
    - Longetivity (something that won't stop working in a year)

Could you also tell me more about venting and how designs relate to that? If you have no venting holes it would be like a hand grenade basically if the battery were to enter thermal runaway right? But most that have venting holes would eject the battery at the bottom if that were to happen right? I often use my vape sitting down and obviously it would not be as bad as the possibility of the battery ejecting in the direction of your face but you don't want it to fly towards you leg either right.

Wish I got free vape gear to review also.
Some have bottom caps with vent holes and some others have vents when they have a c frame. I don’t really know how waterproof a mod can be if it has vent holes or slots. I’m guessing the new Aegis is ok. I have a grudge against geekvape so don’t use their stuff. I’ve been vaping for 16 years and have never had a reliable brand battery vent in a mod. I did have it happen in a charger so I charge inside a fire resistant bag that I bought.

I'm very much alive. Day 3 of VBS done. The kids are moving right along with their rosaries. Several have completed them, and by tomorrow most will be done. That means I'll need to find something to keep them occupied on Friday. I've got a PowerPoint presentation i can show, if I'm able to get IT help with the projector.

You charged it separately right? You take out the batteries every time?

Wow. I know it's a slight risk but I just like to be safe. I think maybe I'll but the lost vape themala next or something of the like. Maybe Vaporesso but I have a bad experience with lost vape so I'm not sure. I bought a pod from them once that leaked consistently it was terrible. Also no good hits.

How do you think that happened? Don't charges have circuit protection? Power surge? Short?
My best guess on the charger is that some circuit in the charger failed and over charged the batteries. Both failed and the charger was melted. I only charge in the garage so it didn’t do any damage except launching the batteries across the garage and it stunk.
