Do you mix, then add your nicotine a few days before using?

I add nic when I mix.
I have seen a few recipes by folks who suggest adding it later but I've never tried that yet to compare if I notice any difference.

I mix base. Enough at a time to last me around 4 months. Add the flavoring to the base so the nic is already in there. I partly do it that way because I don't like messing with nic. To add it separately would mean thawing out a nic bottle every time I mixed. Also I got my nic in VG rather than PG. Seemed like a good idea at the time but it means the nic is thick and hard to work with, especially in small quantities.
