[RANT] I keep seeing a lot of comments that go like "Whatever keeps you off analogs" every now and then, it is ok when someone is struggling to kick the cigarettes
that's not the point here!
I see this remark made in random threads when someone just posted a great improvement to their coils, wicks, got a much better atomizer, tank etc...

let's say for example when someone shares he just found the best Malbec or any other wine from an amazing year he's had in his life you just don't go and tell him whatever keeps you from drinking (place your worst, cheapest, most disgusting, just-to-get-drunk alcohol here)

I see vaping as sort of like wine aficionado, wine tasting community, where you tend to elaborate and always try to reach to newer dimensions and better experience, it is miles away from smoking a cigarette. at the beginning you need to make the switch, sometimes it is hard but after that vaping gets into a whole new level. [END RANT]

Here's my take on this. Vaping got me off cigarettes, like pretty much everyone else here, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. But. I don't see vaping as merely a method to get off cigarettes. It's like comparing drinking a beer to drinking a bottle of water. Yeah, you drink em both, but at the end of the day they are two very different things. Using the "whatever it takes to stay off analogues" response relegates vaping to the level of the patch or Chantix, and it is much more than that, to me anyway. If we ourselves only see vaping as it relates to cigarettes, how can we complain when the government or anti-smoking groups can only see it as it relates to smoking? If someone is only using it to quit, that's fine, that's how I found vaping. But now that I have, I continue to vape because I enjoy vaping, not JUST because it's keeping me off the cigarettes. I like vaping more than I ever liked cigarettes. And, incidentally, I'm enjoying a taco whilst I write this. Just sayin'.
