Deluth classifies vaping as the same as tobacco.
A West VA town bans vaping. You are not even allowed to vape on your front porch or even the yard outside your home.

EDIT: sorry I was wrong... It wasn't town, it was mineral county!! So apparently if you are living in town, you cannot vape on your porch, etc...

Get ready for a rant. I truly hope that this pisses off most of the people who read it.

I have increased my blood pressure tonight. Been vaping higher nic to try to calm myself down, and it’s not working. SO…..

RANT =

What is wrong with people? Are we not supposed to be adults? Do not adults in “free countries” have a responsibility to insure that they have freedom?
There is a thread at the stickies that is titled " ECF - Heading towards 10 million! ..."
So in close to 10 MILLION people on these forums, why is it that a given daily action thread like
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...pe-daily-action-plan-wednesday-9-11-13-a.html
contains only 17 posts, and two are from me and two are from the person who takes valuable time out of his day to provide us with something to do to help ourselves and our loved ones who are smoking today?

Stocking up on Nic, or vowing to go black-market is not going to give you your freedom back. FIGHTING for your freedom will.

If you do not try to oppose legislation and mis-information on vaping, then to be honest, you are SUPPORTING both!

YOU ARE AGREEING THAT YOU SHOULD NOT VAPE IN PUBLIC AND YOU ARE AGREEING THAT VAPING IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN SMOKING!!!

And you should be ashamed.

I personally think local Vape groups may need to start getting together and coordinate picket lines in their area for dumb idiotic bans and legislation in their area. I'm not sure what else to do about it locally besides what all CASAA does. I know if anything starts up down here in South Florida, I will definitely be getting our Vape group together and hit the streets. Other than that, I try to sign petitions and respond to stupid articles online that are negative to vaping. Seriously though, locals have to stick together and make their voice heard when things just aren't right in their area.

I just wanted to point something out. I'm pretty sure that 10 million thread was referring to 10 million posts, not 10 million active members. Also, I can only speak for myself but I tweet the Daily Action Plan tweets fairly regularly, I just don't post to the thread saying "did it" or "done". I hope that helps ease your mind some. Vape on everyone! :toast:

I do apologize for Duluth(I am from MN), saw the article and nothing could be done from my end as you had to be a resident of Duluth to have any say in the meeting.
I was heated to say the least but to be honest, there was nothing I could do.
Down in the cities and surrounding suburbs, the general public, police, local businesses, and even management of a lot of companies that I know of are in complete support of vaping in general.
I know it's not much, but it's a start. Soon these cities that have banned them, once the proper studies and blah blah blah come out, they will retract previous statements and laws governing vaping. It only makes sense. And if they don't, they'll have a lot of angry residents on their hands when it does become more mainstream in these places.

I know how you feel but you have to understand that a bunch of people yelling isn't going to fix anything. The problem is that the media is painting vaping in a bad light (which is what humans always do when they see something they don't understand) and is equating it to smoking, which its not. In order to get our "freedom" the public at large has to see that vaping isn't something to be fear, instead its something to be explored.

If you really what to help "The Fight" start spreading around all of the medical and case studies that proved vaping isn't evil, just another option available to smokers who want to quit.

Do you really think tweeting or e-mailing the interns of low level staffers of politicians will do anything? Do you really think you can convince Democrats to stop their anti e-nic campaigns? They aren't going to wake up one day, decide they favor less government intrusion and turn Republican. I vote; for the right side. That does more than any mass form letter, tweet, or e-mail does to ones intent of turning America into a socialist dystopia.

Most of those on here still probably support the other side and simply make up boogymen- like ANTS, Big Tobacco and the FDA as scapegoats for their political party of choice.

Hold up, this isn't about left wing or right wing. This is about lobbyist trying to get profits for big tobacco companies.

So in close to 10 MILLION people on these forums

Unfortunately... There's nowhere near 10 million people on these forums. We're at almost 10,000,000 posts since Dec of 2007 (almost 6 years) , but there are currently only 21,403 "active members".

In a country of almost 350 million people, we are the minority, and may never be the majority in all honesty. While I love to fight for my rights as much as the next guy... As a full time (60+ hours a week) working citizen, it's hard to compete with whiny hipster soccer moms that don't work and have nothing better to do than to ....... with what everyone else does. By the time I get off work, anyone who is anybody is already at home eating dinner and planning how they can ....... up this country even more tomorrow.

Really? I know it may come as a shock, but look up the political affiliation of the legislators seeking to restrict e-nic. Then, look up the political affiliation of those who receive the most money from tobacco companies. There's quite a disconnect, given it is almost exclusively Democrats who are proposing and passing e-nic legislation, yet it is Republicans who receive the lions' share of donations from tobacco companies- what little there is.

Take a look around... Big tobacco is on the e-cig ban wagon now. Because they can see the writing on the wall for their main product. This is more about people who contribute nothing to society in form of gainful employment lobbying local, state, and federal governments in order to control the world they live in. And they probably do it because they know they're useless people otherwise.

I'm sorry I've seen these posts before and they always turn out to just be making vaping not allowed where ciggs are currently not allowed
Like indoors of businesses bars public buildings and what not

If this is legit It would be beneficial to show article
because the day something is banned on your front porch weather vaping or cigarettes we have worse problems

You are correct a bunch of people yelling won't help...
but a bunch of people taking responsibility for being adults will.

Yes, I do think it will help, and if it doesn't, then the voting booth will when they get voted out of office for not listening to constituents.

eh... sorry about that number then... still we have a few thousand people at the very least!
and the best way to compete with the "whiny soccer moms" is to educate them whenever possible.
as for being too late for the B#$^%#@s that make the policies, that is what the daily action plan is for.

Basically, if 7 people send a message in, then there is a good chance it will be ignored
If 100 people send a message in, then these (people) in office are going to start investigating.

And yes, it takes effort, but we are adults and effort is what we need to put in to prove it!

Look arguing whether Democrats or Republicans are to blame for this doesn't solve anything, it only eliminates those who would have helped you otherwise if you hadn't blamed them based of their political beliefs. Instead focusing on what can be done by the vaping community as a whole is where the best answers will come from.
