Squeezed my raptor into a 1590G. I could probably fit a voltmeter in the bottom portion of the box, this is my second mod and I purposely omitted one because I found myself not using it on my first mod. Button screw type terminals were cut down with a dremel to shorten it's length. Top cap is from a MMVapors Poldiac, not perfect but it's 22mm and looks pretty good.

Ok guys i have mine almost finished and i have one thing to say. You guys are great at squeezing all this crap in a box. Mine looks like crap. But it works sorta. I don't have the botton secured yet and decided to test it. It works and i can adjust the voltage. But the led comes on when the batteries are in right and my volt meter will only show me the input voltage but not the output. Any idea where i messed up? I wired it up real fast before moving it to the box and it worked fine.

Are you using a switch to change the display output of the LED (510 voltage/battery voltage)? Pics would help to look at your wiring.

Yeah im using a switch. I attempted to wire it up just like the diagram. Like i said almost everything is in the box and i dont think a picture would help.

Edit: I guess I lied. The output voltage does work, I guess i didn't realize you had to hit the fire button to get it to work. But now I have new info. The led still stays on no matter what my 3 pole switch is set on. And I am also only able to go to 5.1 volts or so until it jumps to 3.something.

This is confusing so not sure how to help here, jakl.

What LED are you referring to? If it's the voltmeter's LED, then it's not wired correctly for the voltmeter you're using if it's always on.

If it's the reverse polarity LED (you said the led comes on when the batteries are in right), then you need to reverse the wiring to the LED leads. When wired correctly, the LED will only light if the batts are inserted backwards.

For the 5.1v to 3v jump - sounds like the trimmer is not working correctly or you don't have the 220 ohm resistor inline or wired correctly. Check the trimmer and check the resistor to make sure they are wired correctly or don't have any cold solder joints.

Haha sorry about that mamu. I thought my voltmeter was messed up but it isn't. The reverse polarity light comes on when I insert my batteries, but the mod works just fine. So just snip the led and flip it? I already replaced it thinking I had it backwards. My leads were already real short so I just replaced it. The long lead on the led is positive right? And a cold solder joint is possible as I am no pro at soldering. The pot works fine from 3 to 5 volts. Its past 5 that it goes back to 3 something.

Ok so I flipped the led and now that's working fine. I thought the longer lead went to positive? Lol i guess i didn't read the diagram well enough. And now my only problem is the actual voltage. I can only go to 5.2. If I turn it slowly enough it starts to go back the other direction until the display starts flickering and it acts like it loses power. I checked my connections and even redid the ones that I could get. But the last two should be good as I paid extra attention to them as I knew I wouldn't be able to get them later.

Mamu/BJ.....Have you guys seen this?

It's 2S/3S balance tap charger that pugs directly into the wall. I was thinking of getting a couple and tearing it apart and see if it could be integrated into a mod.

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago from china. Got tired of waiting on the USA warehouse.

It is vacationing in Switzerland...:)

If you can get into a pre-sale before they are full but then you are paying $200 for something that doesn't cost even half that to build with a set of batteries
