I just tried Rayon yesterday for the first time (HOW am I so late to this party?) and I'm very impressed! I have several drippers and a kayfun setup with Rayon and it seems to work great in everything. I'm thinking of giving it a shot in a genny since I could never get cotton to wick very reliably, but maybe rayon will work.

The flavor seems sharper and brighter, the vapor smoother and in a bit higher quantity. It's a lot easier to work with too, the fibers are all uniform and much stronger than cotton so it's less of a hassle to massage a wick from a clump of fibers.

If anyone is still sitting on the fence I'd suggest giving it a try!

Found what appears to be rayon in a bottle of Jigsaw Health magnesium. Long straight fibers, no 'clumps', disappears when burnt with a smell similar to paper, very little ash.

May have to re-wick the Russian 91% in the morning.... ;) - gives me something to experiment with while I wait on my Tencel and Sally's rayon to get here in the mail.

Phone guy, your the 35,657th guy to say that it irritated your throat and then realized that it's not the rayon is that you've been vaping more juice.

I dont know for a fact what irritated my throat, sorry if I didn't make that clear. Here is what I do know as of writing this post in this novel of a thread (which is next to impossible to navigate or search btw the topics sway from post to post and from west coast to east coast ;) )

After starting with Rayon I was impressed, so much so that I changed out the koh gen doh and organic cotton in my primary devices to vape exclusively on rayon. Several days later I found my throat was irritated, nothing new had been introduced (that I am aware of) other than the rayon.

Now in an attempt to isolate if it is the rayon or something else, I've switched back to cotton/kgd.... and admittedly the irritated throat has also gone as of now. I will very soon switch back to rayon to see if the irritation returns with it.

I've considered that because rayon seems better, that may be causing my irritation, however I will refer back to Phil Busardo who said in one of his more recent videos something to the effect about a device producing marginally better flavor... not night and day, it was a little bit better. and I think thats where the vaping community is right now, or maybe more accurately "the vaping journey"..... not changed by leaps and bounds, but subtleties that improve ever so slightly ones vaping experience.

Moral to my rant, I don't feel rayon was as big a difference as going from drinking tap water to a coca cola in flavor..... But I do think the difference in rayon is for the better, providing the rayon is not causing my particular throat irritation - and I hope it isn't. :(

I got that irritation my friend. Once I out the device down and drank some water then put the power down. The irritation is gone. For me at least as the other guys said I'm sure it is related to more vapor hitting my throat. I had the same in some devices when I switched from silica to cotton to koh gen do a while back.

I use Kanger clearos and for me it's a big difference in flavor. Maybe it depends on the device, but I won't go back to cotton.

In the last 20 minutes?

You don't like rayon - we get it. However, the 'concerns' you've posted regarded contaminants in the creation process have all been rebutted, and are certainly no worse than those in the creation process for cotton, or indeed the e-liquids we use - nicotine extraction.

So - do you have anything *new* that *hasn't* already been rebutted several times? If so, trot it out and let's see it.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Off hand, if you want peace of mind you may want to stop vaping completely. Have a look at how PG and VG are produced. Various acids and bases, like lye and alkali, are used to produce both even though VG, at least, is considered organic. Somehow, I think commercial nicotine production uses various chemicals that we wouldn't want to inhale or consume as well. Given that they, and rayon, are available in medical grade kind of debunks and rebuts your entire argument.

Of course I've been asking for 2 moths now for real data to the contrary and nothing but strong arm tactics with no scientific data.. You know what guys; I don't know why you have to hate... Just cause were not a part if your click.

Use what you want, I don't care!!! please refer to the 3 rd post of this thread and move along unless you have something that makes sense to say. Not one single thing you can say about the actual end product we are using.. It's like me sayin your cotton is like vaping off dirt, how gross. Doesn't make sense does it? I dont have piece of mind on cotton sorry just doesn't do it for ME... I thought about rewicking this week but nah no reason to the coil still looks new after 70-80 ml 100vg.
