Ok I'm calling it a night. 1 squape tank and a half. No dry hits not a single gurgle. Irritation gone after first tank, sinus back to normal, nic buzz went away pretty fast. Gotta love the human body. Good night.

He's alive!

tmcase,

I seem to remember that you are a NET user?

When I use NETs with any wick I get seepage back into the tank. Some times it even build a lay of really dark gunk at the bottom. I just refill when I start to get near the dark stuff after first vacuuming it out.

Nope. :) I didn't even know what NET was until somebody was brave enough to ask. :p

When I use German Silica my juice turns orange-ish after a few days so I was surprised that the rayon changed the color so quickly. It still tastes good though.

Not a bad price, I don't think. 12' for $5, and I think that would last me for the rest of my life. I think I just might go for it. Thanks for the link. :)

...until you think, "hmmm, 500' for $10.99..."

When I was at the store, I stared at the 3lb box for awhile. "Hmmm, only $4 more..."

Its not a bad price but its still a profiteering price. The 750' box is about $12 plus tax, the 3lb box is $18, I believe. So $12 for 750', sold in 60x12' lots, equals 60x$5=$300 gross profit less the cost of envelope and postage x 60. Seriously, you could sell 50' lots and still make a decent profit.

Yeah, you are right of course, maybe I'll wait a bit on that. I did get enough in a sample here that will probably last me a year anyway. By then who knows what else may come along. A lot can happen in just a few weeks time with this stuff. :)

Must be just certain flavors, cuz I'm having an opposite problem: my clear juice is staying so clear that I'm almost considering food coloring (can't see the level). I have the bottle out in the open now, hoping that nic will get discolored.

Oops... the second thing to go is your memory.

OK - I remember your Avatar from either HHV threads or the Provari thread. If you say no to those I will make a doctors appointment for Monday. ;)

Any way I don't let the discolor slow me down except if it gets really dark at the bottom and I will use a syringe to vacuum that out and then refill. Just a little off color has never effected the taste for me either. Oh, and for me some juices seem more prone to do that than others and I have no idea why.

 Looks like you'll be making a drs appt on Monday.

My juice is uniformly discolored so as long as it still tastes good I'm not concerned, just surprised.

And...that DIY juice that gave me the nic buzz is unvapeable. Whew, it makes me dizzy. I'm going to have to swap it out with something else and see if it's the juice, wick or the atty. Not good.

Rut-Row, I hate going to the doctor he treats me like an old man.

Let us know what you find is causing the Nic Buzz. I haven't paid attention to what it is I just blamed it on the Rayon but you raised a question it could well be a combination of Rayon and a particular juice.

Whatever you do figure it out before vaping the DIY down the road on that two wheeler. !!!

Here are 2 day old wicks ~15ml of my diy NET liquid through each. Rayon at the top and organic cotton underneath. Both were diminishing at this point.

Ease,

Have you tried rinsing the Rayon with warm tap water. I had one that looked like that in my dripper and I couldn't get it out of the coil. I rinsed it under the tap and it turned white again and slid right out of the coil.

You mean re-using?

No... but I did give it a fleeting thought. After I rinsed it with tap water it was good for another ten thousand miles.

I did replace it only because it was so easy to get out (I use 30 Ga which is easy to smoosh out of shape) and put a new one in. And no it didn't have anything to do with the nine and half miles of rayon in the closet. ;)

I have rinsed cotton and it sure never cleaned up like the rayon does. The rayon doesn't hold on to crud like the cotton does. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Oh, you ingest those things? No doubt.

Stay in denial boys, Using synthetics under those heat loads and ingesting what comes off.

Spin it any way you want...peace of mind is priceless.

And this from someone that resides in Valhalla and their avatar is a skull. I'm just not sure how to make sense of this. LOL

I've been using Rayon in all my atomizers with no problems, and recently have tried using it in a KFL V2 and ran into my first issues with CC.

Dry hits in a Kayfun is something I'm not used to, and I've tried 5/64 and 3/32 dia coils with the same regular wicking style that always works for me with regular cotton, but with CC I end up getting dry hits.

Anyone have tips / suggestions / pics of their CC + Kayfun builds?

To check if it's my build, I just installed Cotton yarn in this KFL and no issues, but I really want to get the CC workin in it. CC works great in my fogger V4's.

Edit, I should mention I only use 28 and 30 gauge in the Kayfun for builds between 1 - 1.7 ohms.

Just to update, the issue was not Rayon. This was the Kayfun Lite V2 from Fasttech which included the nano kit for around $30 usd. The item I received had channels that were shallow where the vertical and horizontal channels meet. I used a 1/16th cobalt mill bit to open them up and all is well. Have to also mention I drilled out the center pin to 5/64th's and the air hole on the base as well. It really is a nice switch when I'm taking a break from the Fogger V4. More mellow, and still flavorfull.

Bingo, two of my Kayfun clones had the same problem and I had to open up the channels and I haven't figured out how to open the air holes without a drill press. Opening the channels was hard enough with a Dremel and several bur tip mill bit. Whatever kind of Stainless they use it is hard as He11. Opening the channels solved my wicking problems with cotton and rayon.

Interested in trying Rayon. Is it only available online? Or can you buy it at like walgreens/walmart?

Any Sally's Beauty Supply - Graham CelluCotton Beauty Coil #44130

Make sure you get the regular (not reinforced) rayon (not cotton).

Minimum box size is 40 feet - anything in bags is cotton.
