I think I'm just a tiny bit more articulate

Any chance for some pics for those that are having issues with the Kv4 rayon wicking? When I get a couple tanks through my current DNA40 Kv4 build, I'll post pics, as well.Kv4 first impression. Got it last night, build it with NI200. 3mm 8 wraps 29ga spaced. Put rayon through it and didn't pay too much attention to how I put it down on the juice wells.
I was a bit apprehensive as I read about problems with resistance reading (even with Kanthal A1) - which would make using temp control pretty useless. Coil read .19 on the meter, and oddly enough it read... .19 on the DNA40.
TL;DR: it wicks flawlessly, temp control works, and it gives what I hoped for; same flavor with a bit more airflow
On a side note, the DNA40 can be used as a tool to improve your wicking skills. You can see how well it wicks, and when it starts to wick less well without getting into dry hits. Even the smallest difference will show up as the DNA40 will slightly throttle back the set power mid-drag (or at the end). Airflow seems to cool a lot less than I thought it would, what really cools a coil is a fully saturated wick (that gets airflow). You can judge the quality of the wick by looking at the watts reading. (!). I hope this makes sense?

You so nailed that. My first attempt at dual Ni200 coils wasn't as successful as I first thought, but the DNA40 did it's job, and politely pointed out my mistake. I didn't have enough Rayon in one of my flimsy 30ga coils, so after about half a tank a gap formed in one of my wicks, and the chip started hitting temp protection, just like it's supposed to do. No burning, no discoloration, just reduced vapor. Man, I love this technology!
Next release of DNA40 will have a Voice prompt built in. It will tell you, for example: "You have a Hot Leg" or "Your Rayon Wick Density is too low"

Oh, man, that would be awesome. Unfortunately, it'd probably increase the size of the board, so our mods would be huge!Next release of DNA40 will have a Voice prompt built in. It will tell you, for example: "You have a Hot Leg" or "Your Rayon Wick Density is too low"

Yup - then it will be asking "Can I Taste Your Juice"...![]()

And of course, I read that in the voice that does it at the start of all of Phil's videos.![]()
Oh my gosh oh my gosh! I just found out that Tbev became a mod maker and is now selling his sick bottom feeder!!!

Here we got my first dual coil on a kf, besides parallel. Double barrel 1/16th 8/9 wrap, 32g 1.4ohm ish crap i forget again lol.

Diggin those fibers, so much nicer then the Sally's. Mind sharing what your using for rayon?
I believe it is Sallys, i received like 50ft of the stuff from @Kaezziel(thanks again)
It looks so pure white due to my poor lighting in room combined with macro focus and flash on my ancient galaxy S2 lol. That also makes it look thicker than it really is

Off-topic (but hey, it's the rayon thread - we've done that before, right?), but has the forum started doing something special with @Username formatting? I've seen it popping up more and more over the last week or so. Is it just a twitter habit/cool thing to do, or is there some functionality there?
