Yeah, it was thick and black, but I filtered it in my Aeropress a bunch of times, so at least it wasn't "chunky."

I wonder how "Kahlua Liquor" would work as a flavoring? I don't think there is any particulates in Kahlua and it is already sweetened.

Anything high in carbon and oxygen molecules will gunk pretty quickly. They seem to aid in making the polymer that we call gunk. I would bet Kahlua would gunk pretty quickly given it already contains a sweetener.

awsum,

Well I forgot about the sweetener which in this case is a LOT of pure sugar. I'll bet you could end up with rock candy hanging from your wick... albeit probably black.

I think that it would be much better to drink daily 3 or 4 Italian expressos and vape something different. Latest studies reveal that that amount of coffee reduces the risk of heart stroke.

I wonder what 7 on a daily basis do...

:)

That's true Tony, but if caramel fraps are what you're craving all the time, it's probably healthier to vape it.
Actually, I was just experimenting with something I read on this very thread. Thanks for that, Willy! :grr:

Seven eliminate the risk entirely. ;)

Only because your Heart would explode after the sixth. [emoji23]
If that were the case, I would have died decades ago :D

I will need to cut it down eventually though. Can't be good in the long run.

Back to bed :)

Some people have higher tolerances than others, what just breaks the sleepy from your eyes could seal others permanently. :)

I have a strange tolerance for caffeine. I absolutely can't wake up in the morning without a strong cup of coffee. If I have more than two in a day I will need a sedative to bring me back down off the ceiling.

It wasn't always that way when I was still working I drank coffee and Mountain Dew, nonstop, all day long. Getting older does have it's limitations. I won't tell you the story on a road trip across country and "No-Doze" caffeine tablets. It is a story based on an OCD syndrome described as "if one does a little good several times the recommended does would do a lot of good". Short story is that is a lie and I'll let it go at that.

Probably also learned tolerance. I have a German friend come over once and in Germany they basically drink the same coffee (we call it black water here) as you guys in the states. You know, those normal huge 200ml jugs.

So one day I meet him at a cafe (around 6mp) and we chat awhile and drank coffee. He never had drunk an espresso before (imagine that lol) and he liked it so much he drank two.

I told him he probably should only have one as he wasn't used to it.

He said it wasn't a problem because he drank tons of coffee back home.
I told him Well, pressing boiling water at 4 bars through 5gr of pure coffee into a 10ml cup has a little more than an entire pot of coffee but he just smiled and ignored me.

The next day I met him at lunch and I notice black rings around his eyes lol. He didn't sleep all night walking in circles in his room. :)

Me, on the other hand, can drink a expresso right before going to bed and it doesn't affect me at all... But I'm doing this for 24 years so I guess there is tolerance.

Some of my friends don't drink coffee after 4pm.

Mudram,

It is another long story but I developed an irregular heart beat and the Cardiologist took me off caffeine. It's been about two years now I still drink my morning coffee but it is like the absence of most caffeine has reduced my tolerance for it. Considering the doctor said one possible two cups of coffee a day and I can continue to vape as long as I don't smoke... I figured why push my luck. :)

I think you do develop a tolerance, but it goes away once you stop drinking it for awhile. In the '80s, I lived on drip coffee and Snickers all day long. Then I stopped that for a few months (with the initial migraines that went with that), and now/ever since, I can't handle more than my one jumbo mug in the morning (I get jittery). But the migraine comes back when I don't get that morning mug. Unlike vaping. I can skip it for long periods of time when I have to, even a whole day, with no ill effects (I vape 3mg - I think I'm hooked more on the motion). But coffee I gotta have, and it has to be the real thing, not the vape.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I've always been a big coffee drinker, by the pot when I worked in IT. I got to like coffee from a French press in terms of strength but the sludge bothered me. Now I use a single cup drip maker. If I make coffee for a guest I have to cut back to about 1/4 of what I use for a cup. It may be black, water, Tony, but it has a lot of strength even compared to the espresso my wife makes for herself. I can drink either and go right to bed, no problem.

My first hourly job at 16 was a dish washer in an old hospital. Weekends I worked 6am to 3pm. First thing was to climb a step ladder and turn on the hose bib that filled the coffee urn. I filled the percolator basket with a 3lb can of coffee. I think it was gas fired. By the time it finished the whole kitchen smelled of coffee. That's when I started drinking it.
