I went to Petsmart today to look for the regular Fluval and couldn't find it, just the polishing pads like the OP. So I found a big bag of "HBH Aqua-Pure Filter Fiber" for $3.99. This stuff is great so far. It's layered so you can cut a square, roll it up with tweezers, and insert it in the cart easy as pie. It wicks great, doesn't poof up those nasty little fiber hairs like the poly batting does, and doesn't give you that burnt plastic smell like the poly batting does. It doesn't seem to waste the juice either. Been using it for a couple hours now and am sold. I did try the tea bags but they seemed to get nasty after a little while. This stuff is an off brand from Fluval but works great.

This is worth a try. Question. You say roll it up with tweezers? Did I get that right? How. I usually roll it up and use the tweezers to pinch near the end so when I push it in, it goes into the little recess at the bottom.

Thanks for the tip. My stuffing is wearing out.;)

washing and re stuffing carts have never worked for me, I'm hoping this will work better. Thanks for sharing!

It only worked for me twice but I had a lot of carts. Washing the material seems to make it loose it's density. I just rinsed them in real warm water. Nothing added. The carts I used a little clorox for disinfecting reasons.

Uh, the Everclear? Is that for the tummy? Did I miss something? :p

God, how old is that post? LOL

I was going to try the everclear for cleaning the atomizer....couldn't buy it here....so ended up using something else. I did try the fluval, then the polyester batting, then the teabags, and now I prefer paper napkins. Wow....that was a blast from the past! :D

I too was concerned with this fiber filling in the carts, knowing that some lung problems from analogs stems from inhaling fibers from the filters. (Even though we're not inhaling it directly with e-cigs)

So I did my own experimenting today.

I own a company that make 100% biodegradable packing materials and I know from past experiments that this product is very absorbent to oil, and with the e-liquids consisting mostly of oil I had to try. It works GREAT!!! (Re-fillable and/ or cheap enough to have a fresh one every time, also eliminating the old nicotine problem.) It also seems to hold and use all the e-liquid better with much less waste.

Like the fiber, they have to be cut to size, but if you're interested in a sample, let me know. I'd be happy to send some to a dozen or so of you in return for opinions to see how it works in other devices. I use classic penstyle from Puresmoker.

If you have any of this stuff left available, I'll gladly test it.. I'm about ready to throw my Brand NEW DSE901 out the dang window! PM me.
