Was it brass colored, Bad?

No, it was dark; black actually. Come to think of it, it could have been cast iron like from an ancient sword or dagger. It had (I don't know the proper name) the short "flanges" on either side of the blade end like the old-time swords. The owner had made the mod himself. It had a non-traditional firing button installed on the knife handle. I don't remember what he fashioned the battery end cap from. I only held the mod for about 30 seconds or so.

I met that guy, too, Bad. That guy is nice. His mod was cool, too.

And people still think I'm a chick? Just visit my profile and you can gaze upon this ugly mug. (Sorry to disappoint anyone...)

 I’m really sorry Rocketpunk. Soon after I first got here someone made a post about all the females with male-type avatars. Your name was on the list. :grr: I always remembered it because I think your avatar is pretty cool, and I’m female lol. Won’t make that mistake again! I still want to be at the airport though.

ETA I'd change it but then Bad's post would look kinda silly.

When I saw the title I was going to post that pic.. to me, that is a waste of a nivel chip...

I would say it is a waste if the creator DOESN'T use it. If he(she?) does use it, then not a waste!
But I said "..a waste of a nivel chip."

This mod may actually BE a grenade! Did I do the math right? Am I missing something? The innokin Cool Fire II is listed as having a Built in 7A fuse for protection and stability. It's also listed as only being able to accept an 18350 battery. My efest imr 18350 battery has an 8C rating. So, 8 x 800(mah) / 1000 = 6.4A max continuous discharge rate. RTD Vapor lists their aw imr 18350 batteries as only having a 6A max cont discharge. So the battery could be pushed beyond it's limits before reaching the "grenade's" safety limit?

Well, ok, so apparently it also has a .6 ohm +/- .2 protection and it only can go up to 12.5 watts, so using an ohm's law calc with 12.5 watts and .4 ohms (worst case scenario from +/-.2) shows a max amp of 5.59, so it's probably ok. But if that's the case, why did they upgrade to a 7A protection fuse ( the svd only has a 5A fuse)?

I don't believe that's a fuse, I think that it's just a simple current limiter.

I tested the Cool Fire 2, and it would fire a 1.0 ohm coil at its max setting of 12.5 watts. This equates to... 3.5 volts @ 3.5 amps. I did try a 0.6 ohm coil, and the circuitry would not allow it to fire.

This is actually one of the best ergonomic mods that I have handled. I love it, and to be honest...it may resemble a toy grenade, but is pretty far off the mark on the real deal.

For what you get in circuitry, and ergonomics, it's a win for me.
