I have recently purchased a few different RA's (pheonix, rainbow, rctank, did) to name a few,and have tried many different setups.325&400-316stainless mesh with kanthal 32,36 and nichrome 32,34,36 and all i get is a horrible vape with a metalic taste.:mad:I have followed many great reviews on how to setup but seems to be missing something. So i guess my question is what setup do you use and with what materials?

The first step is to meter the coil out.

Next, try it on a basic electrical APV like a Silver Bullet. Don't put it on an electronic APV until you know the coil/wick is good, faulty ones blow electronic APVs.

Make sure the wick does not contact the bottom of the tank body.

It looks like something is wrong with your oxidizing process.

I use the torch on the mesh even before I roll the wick. Torch both sides well until they glow really red. Cut to size and roll the wick. Drip some eliquid on it and set on fire 3 times. Leave the paperclip or wire that you rolled your wick with inserted while wrapping a coil. I use the rolling paper method. I wrap a tiny piece of rolling paper on the wick and then make the coil on top of it. Once installed in the device I burn the paper off and have a perfect coil every time. There are vids on you tube about this. Good luck!!!

All good input above, but I would also add, start with one.... If you're bouncing between different RBA's, each with their own nuances, this may become more difficult than it needs to be.

On the converse, once you master one, the rest will become MUCH easier.

From what you listed, I'd suggest starting with the DID.

Follow the advice above, and if you can, post a picture of your wick / coil set-up. From there, it will be much easier for us to help you get this right!

Good luck, and keep reaching out until you nail it. You'll be amazed once you do.. :2cool:
