I'm trying to keep up with the orders and edit the wood options as they are taken.

People snapped up the newest Curly Koa quick and all but one of the EIR bodies are taken. Looks like I might have to get more of that for future batches. I am also going to see if I can find more of the Cury Koa, that sure is a pretty wood even if it gets kinda pricey when buying it for the batches. I think the last set I bought cost about $30 on E-Pay, ouch....

Anyway, so far so good, arrr!

Ahoy! 6 spots taken, and USA rules so far.

Chet, the cruisers I do for the website have matching doors to hold down the cost. A custom order cruiser will be like it's big sisters, it will have matching panels on each side unless specifically requested not to.

As for the Gabon ebony. Granted it is really gorgeous wood, it has a tendency to shrink and it has given me alot of headache in the past. Even the Macassar ebony shrinks and i will have to oversize the cutouts to compensate for shrinkage. It also has a nasty habit of cracking after completion. I think if someone really, really wants a solid black wood I would rather dye a wood black that is easier to work.

The Macassar was my first choice but it was already gone so I went with a solid Granadillo Cruiser. And no worries on the switch Cappy, I had to ask though as the square switch is pretty slick. Looking forward to my second Cruiser...the first one recieved just this week hasn't left my hand since it arrived :D. I can't say enough how awesome this mod is.

I used to just give them a wax & buff, but it quickly wears off and people were thinking I was using a gloss finish when I wasn't.

Ah, right on. Just had to ask as I personally prefer a more matte finish on things. Less fingerprints and hides scratches/scuffs more easily.

Yeah, exactly. A gloss finish, one that isn't professionally done, baked on and in several layers isn't going to last long. Then the mod starts to look like an old car thats been sitting in the sun too long with the top coat peeling off, yuck. The matt finish avoids that.

Call the Europeans! Its gotta be 11am or noon over there by now!

Well, it's been evening time over there, around 6 hours ahead I think. I don't imagine I will see much from Europe anymore except for the select people who want a real RSM, people over on that side of the ocean now have a place much more local to get a RSM/Grip clone.

Just the way the game goes sometimes.

Yep it is 11.50 pm here, but people from our forum were informed the batch will open today.
Not so much sales also in France, our classified section is very quiet too, maybe because of holidays soon.
For my part already own 3 insert tank and i'm done with BF, more looking for small boxs now with dna20.
But i like RSM and love to see batchs, my favorite has gone hyper quickly it was east indian rosewood and the curly koa at 29$. :)
