Good morning crew!

All appendages accounted for and the hangover is about gone.

Just gone done "fixing" my mother in laws lawn mower. She came in the house all depressed saying they need a new one. A quick wire brush to the spark plug and she's off and away telling me I'm some kind of magician. I swear, as long as I can fix small engines and open pickle jars, they'll never get rid of me. :p

Ahoy everyone! Cappy is back in town and had a good time with family this long holiday weekend!

Time to catch up on PM's and paperwork, then back to work I go, lost too many days due to the holiday and I need to get to busy.

I just realized I never closed the pre-orders on the website, guess nobody wanted that last spot.

The bodies have been cut out and sized for the batch, next I need to verify the body dimensions and start working on making panels for the batch. That will take me a couple days.

Have a great day me 'earties, arrrr

Ahoy!

Did everyone have as hard a time as me getting back to work yesterday? That's the problem with taking a few days off, you get used to being a lazy bum pretty quickly ....

I went over the website today and made some corrections I had missed in my rush to get everything posted last week.

I added a mod for sale from last batch, fixed some wrong prices and changed the custom mod ordering page to not allow anymore orders but remain open for browsing.

With the pre-order page left open, people can also now post reviews of the various mods right on the pre-order page. Hopefully this will encourage people to start leaving reviews again. Yes please!

Here are the ones available on the website;

Cruisers -

Cutlass DNA's -

Destroyer II -

And that's about it for now. I realize we're in the middle of the typical summer slump, but I would like to sell a couple of these to help in buying some new panel and body woods for the next batch. Crossing me fingers, arrrr

Batch #23. I finished putting in all of the pockets in the reverse side of the bodies for the inset panels. Today I am making the side panels and will then be gluing them in place (probably tomorrow).

Ahoy!

Had an unusual day today.

I saw a doctor last week at the local VA clinic about a concern with my vision, but they were not able to get me a appointment with the VA main hospital until August. Over the last few days I've seen a rapid decline with my vision and talking again with the local clinic today they insisted I drive up to Tampa to the ER room at the hospital.

So I blew most of my day up there today (kind of hard to type as my eyes are still dilated) but they got a good look at them.
The bad news is the .. I'll try to get this right... the vitreous membrane is detaching from my left eye causing a increase in the 'floaters' I have and also light flashes and very blurry vision. The good news is that the membrane is not tearing and detaching from the retina so for now no surgery will be needed.

That's really good cause some of the surgeries can put you out of commission for a week or two from what I understand.

If it happens down the road that I do need surgery, it might delay the batch I am currently working on for a week or two but that's probably the worse case. We'll take it as it comes but I'm still pretty happy at the results of today. Yay!

I've also been trying to get the thread post count up a little. I'm overdue for a random thread giveaway but the chat has been so slow that I keep putting it off.

Let's find something to talk about eh? Arrrrrrr, wake up! It's good to be alive, healthy (mostly) and able to see! yo ho ho

Can you tell I'm very relieved? heh

(oh yes, it's called PVD I think)

Wow...well, no one cares about a possible delay in the batch, you DO have to take care about yourself, that's really the most important thing, health!

Ahoy! This batch is good I think, shouldn't be a delay but perhaps on some future batch, who knows....

Hope everything has been going well over there for you? I haven't heard back from some of our shipmates over in France, but I assume everyone got their mods ok? I'm sure I would have heard by now if not.

arrr

Wow, quite a scare! Glad to hear it's not major though! I'd say take time off any way, we need the captain strong for our upcoming raids :D

I have beginning signs of glaucoma (runs in my family, I blame the Irish :p) so I have to report to the eye doctor yearly for that air jet torture device. Sucks without insurance, but money is easier to acquire than a new eye.

Sorry to hear that, anything with the eyes is a bit scary. If I'm not mistaken, thats when there might be too much pressure inside the eye and possibly cause damage?

If it's a choice between a new rsm and an eye exam, let me know and I'll send you one of the darn things fer free, get them eyes checked me lad! arrr

Yep, increased pressure that can cause damage to the optic nerve, not to mention lots of pain.

Just had an exam in November, so I'm all good there. Got glasses for my astigmatism too. Besides, I would never be able to accept that offer :p

Here I am looking like a "90's dad" as my lady says :D

Har har har! An eyepatch, it's funny how your mind goes right to that. I was even sitting in the waiting room thinking about how it might not be so bad, I could get a leather eye patch with a cool pirate logo on it. Black leather ofc ... arrrr, not meant to be though, at least not yet!

LOL
