Beautiful collection laurentdb!

Would a 26650 affect the height? I don't have any of that size battery, but back in my early days I made my own 26500 bottomfeeder with a 2x C alkaline battery box as 26500 is the same size as a C battery.

I would think it would have to be wider/deeper but the 26650 should be the girth of a C alkaline with the height of the 18650. But I'm just a layman so I'm most likely in the wrong :D

The translator whom I use does not allow me to understand(include) the question and my level of English either. I am sorry if a bilingual can translate I would be delighted to answer you:laugh:

Le traducteur que j'utilise ne me permet pas de comprendre la question et mon niveau d'anglais non plus . Je suis désolé si un bilingue peux traduire je serais ravi de te répondre

Ah, I think your right, I stand corrected. Going to check 26 mmm right now ..

Hmm, thats a bit over 1 inch. With minimum wall thickness of 1.5", the total width would be around 1.35".

Final dimensions somewhere around 2" x 1.35" x 4.8" for a Cutlass as an example. That would really limit me in the body wood I used unless I radically alter the way they are made and piece them together like the Grip's used to be made. I really love the solid body design though, so I would rather find a few options for body wood at that thickness and still be able to offer the large assortment of panel woods. Which would be nice as the side panels are the most visible part of the mod.

Ok, Ill look into it for you :)

For my sausage hands, the extra half inch of width won't make a whole heck of a lot of difference. Can't say for sure about others though.

I can say 26650 DNA20 mods would sell like hotcakes for sure, especially with 23mm inset tanks. :D

If I used a thicker body and also made it a bit wider, then I could incorporate a larger tank hole into the Destroyer, to be sure!

Before I forget again, it slipped my mind. Did you want the engraving on the door or the body, or both?

I'm about at the point I should put it in before I get too much further in the build.

Self bump:

I'd like to get some of these sold for more wood money. I still have a rewards program for 10% back in reward points for future purchases and maybe I should mention that I decided to put that awesome Cutlass with Curly Koa panels up for sale after all.

I would have snatched that Cutlass a few days ago but unfortunately I need 15 watts minimum :(. So I decided to do my part and just got me the Curly Maple Cruiser :). One should have their favorite mod in different woods anyway, right lol.
That's it for me though Cappy...at least until you come up with a 15watt + model.

I can't believe you still have a few left for sale...especially the Curly Koa. There is just no way that enough vapors know about your mods Cappy. Otherwise they'd be gone in minutes. You need more exposure somehow.

Wait a minute... 26650 DNA20, 22-23mms hole? That sounds like a perfect Insert tank to me!
One thing for sure about the DNA20, I used to have one, it vapes well for sure and the screen provides all the information you could ask for, but they eat batteries like mad! A 18650 is a minimum I think, now if you could put something even bigger battery wise...well there just wouldn't be anything on the market to compete with this I believe (Insert tanks, not speaking about simple boxes with a 510 connector on top). Add some RSM craftmanship/perfection, a nice wood to that... I guess Cappy wouldn't need any advertising anymore but rest assured the faithful crew would provide plenty anyway :D

It would be the first and only of it's kind, that's for sure. You'd have the ghost of Theodore Roosevelt busting your monopoly before long :D

Okey doke Waho, the back side for the engraving it is.

I will work on the new designs as time permits. It's going to take some thinking and a new jig or two, but I don't see why it isn't possible to make a bigger battery box without too much complication. Being ready for a prototype by the next batch is doubtful, but still.....

As for being original, you know that it's original only until someone else see's a picture and makes one too, can't be helped though nor do I blame people, you have to make what buyers seem to want if you are going to survive.

Many of the features of my original box mods were certainly copied off other makers of the time, but heck, how many different ways can you make a rectangular box? LOL

But, it seems I have survived long enough to make another batch, I am content with that :)

where's pchela anyway?

Oh, the thread has been kinda quiet for a while and the summer slowdown has made it even quieter. I imagine some of the old friends of the thread will start turning up again once the weather starts to go to hell again, heh.

Night all, have a great weekend. I have no plans really beyond working on the batch. I need to make up some lost time.

Night! arrr

Cappy, one thing to consider when debating between Vamo and DNA 20 is the rebuildable trend right now. DNA 20 will fire a sub ohm coil which means I can take a rebuildable off my mechanical and put it on a dna mod and I can't do that with a Vamo powered mod. I realize the DNA 20 may be more expensive but I think people would be willing to pay the extra 15-20 bucks.

As for the 26650 size I think I would be very interisted in a feeder version with the DNA 20D although I wonder if you couldn't put a pair of battery packs in or even a single and get the dimensions down a little.

Are you sure about that Fright? I was sure the mini was 1.1ohm on the DNA, might be wrong though, I didn't keep mine long enough to be sure. Anyway, the biggest downside to that chip to me was the batterie life. It just wouldnt let me go up to 20w out of an hardly even used 18490 as it´s à booster an not regulated power board, it just wont let you vape at even 17w if it doesn't feel that the batterie Will last long enough. Other than that, I would go for the DNA over the Vamo as well, the vape is much smoother and pleasant me think.

Going away for the week-end, I hope everyone will have fun, enjoy :)

Hello everyone. Idaho here. Not sure why it took me so long to find this thread. I found it through another GG lover. I looked at RSM website and certainly nice work. I am currently using a stand I made myself but my collection got bigger somehow.

I must have new stand and it looks like I found the right place.

According to this video
A PBusardo Review - The Opus D & The DNA-20 - YouTube
around the 25:30 mark he fires a .7x ohm RSST on his Opus D no problem.
As or the battery life I havn't owned a DNA 20D mod yet but I do know I was very suprised by my old Darwin's battery life. Which is the main reason my dream RSM would be a DNA 20D Feeder with dual 1200 or 1500 mah battery packs. Now a 26650 might just fit the bill or dual 18650 (parallell) would be great also. But battery life and no feeder option are my main 2 reasons I doubt I will ever own an Opus.
