Hope you feel better soon! Back pain is no fun!

Even though I've already received my caddies, which are wonderful, I'd blame me. I ordered another wood desk caddy, from another vendor a while back, he hurt his back and couldn't complete the order. I think I'm bad luck for wood workers. ;)

I'll post my reviews of the caddies soon, and get some pics up here on ECF. They are really very nice!

Ahoy all! Is it me or is ECF dirt slow again....

I managed to do a couple hours of work this evening, mainly boxing up stuff for shipping. Getting better every day.

I already replied to your E-Mail, but again, it sounds like there is little more that you can do there so I don't think we have a choice except to have you send it back in so I can troubleshoot it.

I know it's a pain in the bottom, sorry!

Glad to hear you were able to get back to work somewhat. As for the forums being slow not moreso then usual for me but maybe it is the forums I read.

Ahoy lads and ladies!

Well, it's been a forced vacation but I've been trying to enjoy the time I've been stuck in bed. Video games, movies and just surfing the internet at random but it's starting to get pretty tedious and I'm looking forward to some serious shop time.

The Commodore reminded me that the last time I messed up my back like this (20 years ago) that I was bed-ridden for a month and then a couple more months before I was working normally. I think it's because I didn't know better back then and just laid in bed and didn't try to move for weeks. Either that or it was a more serious injury?

This time I got up the next day, hobbled around a few minutes using a cane and have been pushing it more every day. It's still sore today but tomorrow i am going to try to go back to work for a half day and see how it goes, time's a-wasting and I'm starting to feel the pressure.

I have one Desk caddy that I need to re-make and then I will get back to the batch which has just been collecting dust for the last week or so. I might still make the 6 week production deadline but we will see how it goes.

I told David to also enable the ordering of desk caddies tomorrow. Any orders for them will be done next weekend and that will give me some extra time to get everything back in order.

Yeah, it's starting to get boring sitting around, I hope tomorrow goes well....

Stay safe, have fun! arrr

Ahoy, aloha and happy Sunday!

Worked half a day in the shop, bit sore this evening but it's a good sore I think. Hopefully I will be cruising at full speed soon, things are looking up!

I have lots of work ahead of me if I want to get this batch out on time, it turned into a bigger batch than I had anticipated but there should be some awesome booty to choose from at the end of the batch. At least 3 of the mods will be one of a kind types, I'm gonna have some fun with the ones I am making for the website.

---

I'm slowly depleting my small supply of A7's. They were pretty cheap to begin with and are wearing out.

Is there a RBA akin to the A7 but of better build quality? I wonder if someone has made one yet with a easily replaceable coil? Like you pop the old one out and plug a new one in, kinda like some cheap tank's do that I've seen. I'm perfectly happy with 2.5ish ohm coils too.

I'm one of those types that finds something they like and sticks with it, totally out of the fad loop :(

Have a good one, arrrr!

Yeah the RM2 is the only higher end I have seen made for bottom feeding. Most of the attys I've seen small enough to fit in the catch cup are more for drippers. That being said maybe you should think about making a micro coil Cappy. I know the process is a bit longer then you might be use to but with cotton the flavor is fantastic. And when your wick goes bad you just pull it from the coil do a dry burn to clean the coil and feed in a new piece of cotton. Also since you typically use thicker wire the coils are very durable. Just a thought.

I've read good things about the RM2 as well. I'm mainly using the cyclone from Vicious Ant now, I'm very happy with this one. It's an improved ERA to me. It seems to work even better with the AFC. As far as the easily replaceable coil goes, I haven' heard of anything like that for a bottom feeder, or else I would have tried it. But making a new coil takes about 5mns, and I like to make them exactly as I like them, I'm not even sure I would like to use a pre-made coil...

Good morning crew!

Besides the A7 I use the era bottomfed atty. It's easy to set up for sure. Making a micro coil isn't too bad after you've done it a few times and they last darn near forever, slapping a new cotton ball wick in is easy peasy.

I have an extra era I could bum you Cappy. I'll even set it up with a 30ga micro coil and cotton wick so it's juice and go. Should be in the 1.7 to 1.8 ohm range, but it's been a while since I've made one with 30 so I'm not sure.
