Cappy I am guessing the answer is no but if you order a mod from the site that is already made can you have the engraving added? I am guessing no because of the finishing and sanding may have to be re-done but I wanted to make sure.

We should be done rolling the last of the 2014 pickups off the line today and having a nice long month of layoff before we start production of the 2015's in January. Assembly is actually beginning to feel like home instead of just being a visitor from the foundry.
Hoping to hear word on my house while I'm laid off so I'm not burning vacation to take care of closing/moving while we're working 6 days a week next year!
I got a new toy today, the vicious ant cyclone I've heard so much about. It just looks like an ERA with a cooler top cap, but it does seem to hit a bit harder/warmer than the ERA.
I Hope every one has a wonderful holiday and gets some nice vape gifts

I'm not certain Damselle, there are always variables but I would estimate they will ship/be posted on the website shortly before X-mas. I was going to finish this batch and take a week of vacation but I used up my planned time off when I messed up my back and didn't work
I've done it before, but yeah it takes several days before I can ship it. I put in the engraving, then slop some finish on the engraved area to harden the burrs from engraving, then sand it back down and refinish it again.

Yep, a whole month! 8 days of it is paid holiday and the rest is unemployment, better than nothing!
Right now my official job is "17-045S" or commonly referred to as "HVAC build up." I have a computer screen that tells me which Hvac to grab, add a duct and hush panel to it, then throw it on the buffer table. A dude who actually works on the line (I'm off to the side) uses a hoist to pick them up off the end of the buffer table and attach them to the inside of the fire wall before the dash board goes in.

What kind of wood combinations were you thinking about? Did you see the multi-layered bodies in the pics? I like them even more now that they have finish on them and you can see the colors better.

Not sure if I am calling it right but it looks like there is only 2 Destroyers in the batch? Or is the bottom left also a DestroyerI am thinking it is a Marauder?
I really like the woods on the 2 Cutlass top left. And I am guessing the Maurader bottom left? The Destroyer top row third from right looks good too. I know 2 things I am looking for out of my next RSM 1 Engraving (need to sport the RSM pride) and 2 Dark/light combination. I will be able to make a more solid decision once I know what's going to the website and see the individual pictures.

Ok, two more questions. A out how much is the cutlass going for? And can you still pay with paypal?
Yeah, the two marauders are bottom left and the two Destroyer20's are bocote/maple & black walnut/yellowheart.
The Destroyer/Cutlass with DNA12's start at $209, the DNA20's start at $234. Wood upgrades and such add to the cost.
Yup, PP is still my preferred method.
If I miss this batch, when would the next custom order be coming up? A really great feature on the website would be a notify me button......
I really couldn't say when, it's never a set date and my estimates seem to vary a week in either direction. There are a lot of variables I deal with from batch to batch and those variables are getting harder to gauge.
Another factor is the continued decline in the amount of pre-orders I have been getting, it may not even be worth stressing myself under a delivery deadline anymore, especially when the mods I make for the website usually sell quickly and I can use more creative juices when making mods of my own design.
As always, I will keep interested parties informed here on the thread.
any chance if you don't do pre-orders you will still take requests? lol not that that is much different but personally even if you limited it or something that to me is one of the great things about RSM being able to order it the way you want.
I always try to listen to what people are wishing for and would certainly take requests just like I used to do, but I think I need to get away from deadlines and stay much more flexible than I was.
I've often wished that I had a staff and we could brainstorm together, put out new models on a monthly basis, start offering machined metal feeders for those on a budget, do a better job at advertising and really start pumping out mods and caddies. Alas, it's still just little ol' me and every year I work a little slower. Arrrrr
This January I will be starting my fourth year! I've done 3 years of this?? Am I mental?? There's a reason why most of my competitors are gone, they got tired of being broke and living off Ramen and cheese-macs ... I still love 'em!
