I would have to loose the 5 middle holes and put it in sideways, then there would be room.

Cappy. That's exactly what I need. But is there a way to put in a cutlass spot somewhere eight in the middle to display it proudly?

Ahoy, hope everyone had a good day today?

Gonna stop for the night, got some equipment maintenance done including tuning up the new bandsaw. I also finished the first of the revised dual level caddy, I added two ego holes, squeezed in another tank and atty hole plus switched to galley spindles instead of pegs. It still needs to be finished, I just sanded it so far.

Good grief, I got the spindles in upside down in the picture, lol... long day. They are not glued in place so I can ship in a small box instead of a medium.

Up on the website tomorrow.

Parting shot from the Pacific. Back to normal. Gonna hit the pit on regular time. Been up for about 42 hours and pretty tired now. G'night maties.

PS I am wondering about the acorn/ pineapple thing :D

Arrrr, thats a damn long time to be awake, don't you start nodding off and have sudden flashes of brain freeze when everything shuts down? In the navy when I stood rotating watches and typically went a day or so without sleep every few days we called it "taking hits" ...... I feel bad for you my friend, I have sleep problems myself and hate the necessary chore of trying to get to sleep every day.

Morning Cappy! The other day you mentioned you thought you had things figured out. That's excellent, hope you plan to keep on modding for a good long time!

Morning dd! I want to, I really do. When I became an electronics tech 35 years ago, I was a skill laden god. Everyone needed a skilled tech. I remember watching a tv repairman come to our house in the sixties, watching him work and he was a hero.

Twenty years later his job was extinct as nobody TV's repaired anymore, they were mostly throw-away. In the last twenty years I've seen electronic tech jobs disappear until there is not much left. Electronics in the home and during manufacturing have also become disposable, if it fails, toss it. The only jobs I've had in the last decade have been government projects when the contract demands a "certified technician" to perform even the most basic tests and those are disappearing too. We are becoming extinct like the tv repairman.

So in a nutshell, yes! I am damn happy about this and won't give up easily .. I don't have much left otherwise.

Talk about motivation! My alternative is living under a bridge in Sarasota, arrrr!

Cappy, our TV repairman in the 60's was kinda my hero, too..his name was John, a friend of my Dad's, and he had lost his left arm when he got sideswiped while resting his arm on his open car window like we all used to do before perfect (?) climate control became a birthright..you shoulda seen him go to town, screwdriver and other tools between his teeth, pushing up against things with his left shoulder to hold things in place...unbelievable...

My dark lass is still performing perfectly..

Good morning crew! Fresh coffee in the cup, RSM in hand, great start to the day!

Hey Cappy, ever think of making some sort of modular caddy? Like those hamster habitats with all the crazy attachments. Add what you need when ya need it and what not.

Ahoy, good morning waho. Actually yes, but I can't think of a good way to put them together except by glue. I could make them like a puzzle but that would leave funny sides if it was used alone.

Could do something like having bigger cut outs with specific inserts? Use like a 4" x 4" cut out then have different inserts for those slots.
