Evening Cappy. Hope your visit with your son was wonderful!

Unfortunately he was delayed a week and won't be back until NEXT weekend. Poor guy is working 70+ hour weeks right now, arrr, I don't think I even put that many hours into working in the shop.

By request, yarrr!

Thanks Capt'n. That wench has some talent.
For some reason the/ my iPad won't show embedded videos on ECF. LOL, but yet they show up on every other forum I belong to.....????? I've asked the ECF forum guru's numerous times "why"....and they are, uhhh, errrr, stumped. They tell me it must be a MAC, or a Steven Jobs thangy.
edit: damn, it's 1421. I'm over and out.

Bummer! Well, I hope you took a much deserved rest this weekend anyway;-)

I sorta worked half days, but yesterday when I put a push button cutout channel in the squonk hole side of a box I left the shop in disgust and went and pillaged then played some video games for a while, arrgggg

I think I have about 15 bodies mostly done, and most of them will be VV I think, 18350s ...some pretty cool looking wood this time too.

A blast! everyone was so nice! got to try a lot of different juices and a few mods I didnt win anything but they gave away a lot of awesome
prizes including RSMs

I was a good girl! lol waitlist for one and came close to buying an epipe mod...must resist, must resist ...they're really cool though :)
Did get attys, juice and cherry vapes 1 PURPLE cannon and the new Ming tip in amethyst -me likes me wood and purple! :)

I'm happy you enjoyed yourself VV. Were there a lot of people? Sometimes I think I would like to go to one if they had one close to me but then I'm pretty sure I would just be standing in the corner.

i wonder how much it would cost to reset such a fuse? There must be a reason why most vendors don't use those in wood box mods. personally, i would rather have a small spring that collapses as it is not uncommon for attys to short out.

If its the tiny replaceable ones they cost next to nothing.

For the VV version its not really necessary. The chip and kill switch should be all the protection needed. A diode inline with the atty power would prevent reverse current if someone inserted a batt backwards but thats kinda overkill.

The 3.7 models could definitely use something though to prevent shorts.

Id have to look at the data sheet to see if the 5v chip cappy uses has short protection of any kind. He might know

18650?
Any chance that was a typo, and should have read 18350?
I'm far from being even a little bit smart with electronics, so this has got me scratching my pointy haid.
I have no doubt that VV can be done with one 3.7V battery, using some type of regulating circuit or capacitors, but it seems to me that it would be hard on the battery. At the very least, I'd think it would severly reduce the vaping time between battery changes.
Using two 18650, instead of two 18350, batteries sounds like it would require a significant increase in the size of your boxes. I imagine it would last quite a long time between charges though!

So the question is; Is the Cutlass going to be much bigger than the Buccaneer?

TY! There were alot of people there sky but you wouldn't have stood in the corner alone! Everyone was super sweet!
So he was suspended????????????? If so, I will point blank say I don't think that was right.
Yes ag was suspended for a week and I agree, it wasn't right! :)

Most vv vendors do use them in their mods! via the chips- they prevent spring from Having to collapse thus protect your mod
some 3.7v use fuses too
