For those mods about to ship, here is the corrected operation of the two way switch and voltage display for the prototypes.
I forgot that when you check the battery you need to remove the atomizer or you will apply full battery power to the atomizer as well. Unscrew the atty when you check your AW IMR battery voltages.

The display is activated in both modes with the main push button.

The switch in the Down position shows the voltage at the atomizer and should remain in this position when vaping using the VV circuit.

The switch in the Up position shows the output voltage of the batteries, do not have an atomizer connected when checking. You may also use this position to Vape using an 18650 battery at 3.7V or any other battery combination you desire.

There is a center position of the switch that will turn them both off, but there is no 'indent' in the switch to let you know it is centered. Center the switch while pushing the fire button until the LED stops working to center the switch.

Sorry for the confusion.

Is there enough space in the middle position so that the switch doesn't accidentally turn to either side from shaking, vibration etc? I mean, is there an actual 'middle position' or is this just 'somewhere in middle of the road' position typical in two-way switches that happens to be not connected to either side?

I'm just concerned about accidental power-on because I'll be carring this in my pocket all the time.
Either side of the switch is risky now so I need to make sure that the switch is capable of solidly staying in that middle position.

or...

Is it possible for me to modify(cut a wire inside or something) and disconnect the battery checking circuit all together so I can just use the UP position as an POWER OFF?
I'd love to have the option of battery checking mode, but this is only when I can have a reliable power off setting.

Not without removing the voltage display entirely from the circuit. I was doing final checks tonight when I discovered that power was getting to the atomizer and realized just a bit ago that I wired it up for another type of mod I have had on the drawing board.

In the up position you get actual battery voltage and It is being routed to the atty because it enabled the owner to change to a 18650 3.7v system instead of VV! In the down position it is again a VV system using dual batteries and simply stops working if you have a 18650 in it.

There is no way I can undo it at this point as that wiring point is inside the end cap and beyond reach. I would say at this point that the switch is NOT a reliable power off point. Very sorry about all this.

So will those ones be for sale?

If any of them wish a refund and with the understanding that these are setup differently, to provide VV and 3.7v with no safety switch setting except by centering the switch.

One of the original reasons I thought of wiring it like this is if the VV board ever died after the warranty ran out, a person could still use it as a 3.7v device.

cool so I can throw and 18650 in it and have an 3.7 18650 mod with a battery meter and flip the switch and add two batteries for VV?

Exactly right, but at the cost of no safety switch setting like I originally promised. Again, this was supposed to be for a future mod and a surprise ... well, surprise ....arggggg...

Sounds good!! Great idea.. or if your batts die and all you have is a 18650. You can still vape it up!!

To me its just as easy to unscrew the atty a turn as it is to flip a switch to turn it off! This will be very very desirable. You can run it with an 18650 for 3.7 one of them 4.8 nimh batteries for 5 volts or 2 rcr123 tenergy 3.2 batteries for 6v and put two 18350's in and flip the switch and you got a vv! How versatile is that!

Yea i really like the idea, especially if something happens to the VV board...
