I think thats actual wood carving going on there, lasers just burn the wood.

The tiny red mod on the right side of that picture is a Mark-6 wench, tank/dripper mod

It is? was? It would help if I knew what it was to "squee" , I was just taking an educated guess and It appears you REALLY like the mod, so.... but I might have been wrong?
Definitely carving the wood with a fine tipped wood bit not charring it with a 40 watt laser beam.

Oh my, I don't know, you have B&W ebony if I recall correctly? I would be hesitant to grind a logo into a fabulous piece of wood like that
(of course I just did it to ziricote and gabon ebony, so whats the big deal, lol)

Yeah I know that would(wood) be sacrilege....And I actually looked and the way the grains are it would look weird probably.
But the engravings do look awesome!!
