Why would people order and then back out.....I don't see the sense in spinning your wheels.
Congrats to those who have one on the way to them!!
Although I don't often 'participate' in the chat here, I do check the thread at least once a day to 'lurk and read' and I am subscribed to it as well![]()
Just logged in and saw all the BEAUTIFUL RSM's everyone got...Congrats to those who have one on the way to them!!

I am on the wait list for batch 11, I believe, and don't PLAN on backing out...unless one goes up on the website that I like and am able to snag beforehand (ha,ha...fat chance of that happening). I don't mind the wait tho as I have been short on funds since Christmas and getting my work hours drastically cut, so this has given me time to put money aside each pay day in order to have it ready for 'my turn', lol.
BTW...I was wondering what kind of wood that was that Chet got his made from?

Hiya ((((Ben))))!!! I see you got another beautiful mod...congrats once again! You're building up quite a collection huh?
Still waiting to find out what that wood was that Chet chose, lol.
It's very beautiful Chet! Congrats!
I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a nice RED, RED wood with black or almost black endcaps. I'm thinking that the Redheart will fit that choice and hoping that Cappy will have some available when my batch number comes up![]()
Ahoy, good morning everyone, spent the last couple hours dealing with E-Mail & PMs.
There will be some changes concerning the ordering of RSMs, I am going to think the entire process over carefully and decide what is the best course of action I need to take to ensure I am able to continue making mods.
Trying to please people so much that I let the ship founder and sink is a course I need to steer away from and that is exactly where I am headed atm.
I would suggest if you are thinking of buying wood to not do that until our new course is set.
Cappy
For the short run yes. Please understand that from my point of view the batch lists have several bad affects for me.
I cannot innovate. Once I take an order I can no longer let creativity take hold. Remember when the mods used to have individual inlays, designs, edging and such? I would like to be able to occasionally offer a more unique mod again.
This batch had 14 people on the list, 3 cancelled when approached to pick wood, 6 cancelled after I had started or decided they did not want the mod after completion. Each batch I do has this problem, usually not this severe but it still happens. What a time sink the whole process has turned out to be.
Yes, Time!. Since I started taking pre-orders, the 2 week process has turned into a nearly 3 week process. I can only attribute the extra 4 or 5 days as lost to administration dealing with the pre-order process and the dozens and dozens of PMs and E-Mails needed to get the batch started, answer questions and the final batch disposition.
Arggg, I can go on talking about deadlines, stress, material management and such, but lets stop here.
I need to get back on track, for now I am putting the batch lists aside and getting back to the basics. Ya? Yarr!
Oh yes, I have people who are on a batch list that I wont even start for 4 months, what are the chances they will still even want a RSM? It's getting silly ....
You are an example of another benefit of this. You are number 38 I think on the waiting lists, probably 2 or 3 months down the road? But you have become a friend of the thread and people who are active on the thread will know before anyone else when I am putting up mods for sale and will have a big jump on everyone else and so reward the active people.
If you see one you like, simply buy it off the website, shoot me a E-Mail describing the engraving you would like me to put on it and I can do it after the fact. Simple![]()
Redheart with Gabon ebony?

Cappy, Only you can place a value on your time. In the world of being a craftsman, as wells as a small business owner you have to set the course.Bumping for people who missed it;
